^^ Obviously "something" is not usually as horrific as CSA. But certainly a sign of some kind of mental illness or similar for this to happen under the circumstances of her upbringing/life at that point.

So it sounds like you are one of those posters making huge leaps of assumptions based on zero facts. Kristen and Eleanor were a few grades apart and definitely didn't run in the same crowd whatsoever.

I agree that sex with a stranger in a public park is indicative of a lack of impulse control and risk/reward assessment, and a disregard for anyone who might stumble upon you. I saw some people having sex in a car while walking my dog recently and I was not pleased. I did not sign up to view a sex act while enjoying a night stroll.

But that said, I would suffer that a million times over if it would save a child from what she was planning. There is just no comparison. I cannot understand how a person could desire to do that to an innocent child, and how they could have no empathy or conscience. I think that's why we're all staring in horror at this story and can't look away. It's too awful to comprehend. And we expect that being a mother would make someone have a desire to protect children, not destroy them.
