Outdoor winter training is absolutely standard at most local clubs. Has anyone ever paid extra locally for outdoor, winter practices? |

| The classy thing to do for a lower level team needing more than 1 or 2 guest players is to bring guest players from the top team of the age group below. That helps the development of the younger players and makes for more even competition. Guest players from multiple levels above in your current age group screams trying to rack up wins so you can brag about it on social media. |
|
You’re overthinking it. They’re all the same age, and one club’s top team might be equivalent to another club’s second or third team. Just play whoever’s in front of you and let the results take care of themselves. |
No thanks. I have integrity. You do you, though, Valor. |
That's not the situation. This is Valor, putting one of their 3rd-4th-5th rec level u-little teams into the bottom bracket of a low level tournament, and then sending many players from their first team to play in the games with their 3rd-4th-5th team against some other terrible teams. Its gross. |
yes it's gross and remember, there is a fee to enter the tournament, so you're paying for VALOR cheating and stealing the cup |
| Somebody’s big mad that they lost to Valor. |
Ya'll need to get a life. As long as the tournament rules aren't broken no one should be complaining. The brackets are completely subjective and the coach/manager submits their application based on where they think they fit. The tournament organizers can move a team up/down as they deem appropriate. They allow a handful of guest player spots so it's not unlimited. WTF is the big deal. |
|
How many RL players did they bring to this basically rec tournament in Williamsburg to guest play with the Valor lowest level NCSL team?
|
If you are playing at the Williamsburg tournament you shouldn't be this upset. It's a small tournament that should be fun and if you loose to a better opponent, so be it. If you lost during ECNL playoffs or state cup because the other team had older kids playing or something I could understand. But this is just BS. Valor is a lot of things, but they aren't cheaters. |
they had 8 |
Bringing your ECNL RL team to the lowest bracket of a local tournament is cheating dude, Steve Lovgren said he put Valor Black at the bottom according to their previous season performance which was in Division 7, the rule is 5 guest players, they had 7 on the field |
Good lord, that's an entire team almost. How many of their own 3rd team players were riding the bench? That's crazy. |
