If had been a valid suit, yes, Hayfield Principal should be added to the suit, personally named.

In the parents mind it is a valid suit. When the decision came down, they thought they won. They should double and triple down just like Reid has.
I would love to see a full blown litigation based on discrimination or whatever. All emails/texts would be discoverable, and all the major “players” would be disposed under oath. It’s really the only way to get the complete truth about who knew what, and when. And some of these Bozos would likely back their way into a criminal charge.

Yep.

Feel bad for all the players that moved to Hayfield solely for academics and not football, they wasted a good senior skip day to prep for football game their principal didn’t let them play:

NEW AND OFFICAL HAYFIELD BARSTOOL‼️
Fridays are for the men
#1 Hype Account In The DMV
NOT Affiliated With hayfield admin

Featuring:
"Put this n**** in a retirement home"
"To the point where it becomes illegal for me to touch minors"

#JustHayfraudThings

This is pretty in line with all things Barstool-related, so it tracks.

I thought the clip of a kid getting beat up was definitely appropriate…

Commended is a pretty irrelevant honor and it’s ridiculous that college board didn’t notify students themselves. The administrators had plenty going on with back to in person learning and it was obvious it was an oversight not a “war on merit” as asra tried to argue.

This is a completely different issue. Its clear that fcps has been covering up intentional cheating and has stood by hayfield even when evidence was found. Asra has redeemed herself in my mind.

Nope. There are colleges that give scholarships to finalists. It was a big deal and intent has nothing to do with it. It was FCPS’ reaction that was horrible.

A commended student is not a finalist. Semi finalists become finalists if they meet certain qualifications. And the college board informs semi finalists directly. Commended is nothing. Yes, schools should’ve decided their job and notified students but it wasn’t intentional like this cover up is.

A lot of gang signs, use of the N word in videos, and tattooed players. Nice representation of FCPS.

Honest question, don't you have to be 18 to get a tattoo?

Under 18 with parental consent is allowed.

I'm sure most of these kids are 18 & 19. Full arm & leg tattoos and all!

That costs a lot of money unless you know someone with a tattoo gun who will discount it for you or do it for free to "practice. "

I guarantee you she didnt spare a thought to those seniors.

I would say that she is absolutely focused on keeping her job and performing damage control based on the 3 letters to the community she has sent out recently. Someone in an earlier post did an AI analysis of one of the letters and it was a pretty funny analysis. I’m too lazy to scroll back to find it.

Yes, damage control for her. Someone posted Reid spent $200,000 on image consultant. Is that the firm she had used previously that is her friend or is that separate vendor?

Anyone have proof that she spent that on an image consultant? That seems unlikely to be true. She’s a school superintendent not a movie star.

I don’t know that she hasn’t, but that number makes me think they are speaking about the board in 2020, which was before she was hired. The article about it didn’t come out til 2022, so who knows if they are currently doing the same or not. I’m inclined to think so, as there are quite a few of the same board members from 2020. Except I’m at a loss to explain how they could be handling it so poorly in that case. In 2020 they hired a firm to work on their image and with the intent to “mitigate controversy” and “protect the FCPS brand” by monitoring parents, teachers and students social media.

Oh, yes!

I had forgotten about our school board hiring an outside company to spy on parents, students and teachers' private social media.

Is the contract still active?

I imagine that if it is, many of the pro school board/Reid posters on this FCPS forum across many threads are paid FCPS contractors.

There’s no way.

The board majority is standing behind reid and hayfield in favor of comprehensive investigation nonsense.

Any comprehensive residency investigation needs to be county wide of all high school students, not just sports teams, and be tied directly to the rezoning process.

Commended isn't "nothing." Only the top 3-5% of students get it. Those students would have been semi-finalists if they lived in other states.

Not relevant to this conversation but I teach at one of the wealthier public schools in the area and you’d be surprised how many parents allow this at 16 or 17 and take their kids to get them.

Americans have voted cheating, corruption, and cover-ups are completely acceptable-Reid will be just fine.

I'm going to stand behind her....if "men" in power can lie and cover up and still have their job so should she. It can't be one and not the other.

Michelle Obama once said when they go low, we go high. How can we not have everyone thinking this as a baseline? Sure people can mess up, but to start from the premise of there are other awful people so let’s all be awful?

Those days are gone....America has continued to go low. So I get it and in 2016 I thought those were powerful words. No longer. And if you voted for lying and corruption you need to take a seat. We are telling our children lying and cheating is ok for the top position in our country but not for the superintendent and staff
of FCPS

There was a ton of lying and cheating in the last administration. That ship has long sailed.
