This is the rec level tournament in Williamsburg where the Valor teams played each other last year. Congrats?

Sunday was cancelled so don't even know how anyone can make legitimate conclusions from that.

what a drag to go all the way to williamsburg to play other valor/ low level/ rec teams, shell out two nights for a hotel and then have sunday games cancelled.

VALOR KEEPS CHEATING! Their 2012B Black which is a Division 7 team brought ECNL players to the tournament and had aggressive parents on the sideline, never seen or heard anything like this in Nova. The entire team was wearing ECNL Logos on their jerseys except for a couple players and their own coach didn't know their names. They did the exact same thing for the Spring tournament and the organizers are refusing to do anything.

That was one of the teams that they kept holding supplemental tryouts for. I bet they put a team together without enough players and are filling in with non rostered players every week.

Steve Lovgren is the company owner and John Allison is the director of the Williamsburg tournament, they both know that the county closes the grass fields if it rained the day before or rain is expected on game day that's why they schedule younger kids and lower brackets on grass, everyone else is scheduled on turf.
You're also required to pay $600 for Friday and Saturday night with their hotel.

The 2012 black and 2013 black are only half teams. They took money from parents fully aware they could not roster a full team. I guess they are using those teams to get extra playtime for kids on the two higher teams. I have never heard of ECRL players playing down on third teams. That's just pitiful.

Yep and the rooms are single with 2 beds so many families had to book 2 rooms , 600 bucks / night

yes money grab and then they sign up for tournaments and play only 4 original team players and bring 8-9 ECNL players to showoff on GotSport https://rankings.gotsport.com/teams/395679
you think a Division 7 half team casually won the Spring Tournament ? They only allowed a couple players from the original team

He is one of the owners of the private soccer camp business that valor sya and cya funnel all their players to, very lucrative.

Aaaand this is why my kids continue to play CYA rec instead of Valor. Such a huge waste of time and money for absolutely no benefit. The Valor girls practice with our rec team sometimes and they're no better than mine.
