I do not hate them or even dislike them. And I’m not trying to be dense. But I don’t understand what he means by “no other option.” I wish they would just say what’s really going on. |
| I wish them all the best in their new life. |
Since he referred to himself as ‘Diana’s second son’ I think he means coverage by the press, which really leads me to believe he has no understanding of his wife. |
Uh, no. He was reminding people exactly why he has such strong feelings about this (that he expressed long before he met Meghan). |
Uh, yeah. If his feelings were so strong and not tied to the recent development of his family, he would’ve done this long before they arrived. The impetus was MM and A |
You can't be that dense. You are actually claiming Harry has not expressed strong feelings on this subject for a long, long time? That is really an argument you are making? |
What some of us are pointing out is that announcing you're stepping down for privacy for your family and using the intensive press coverage of your lifetime doesn't exactly sit well with the now quite clear intentions to be Instagram influencers and celebrities (which is how they intend to make a fortune). I'm not sure how Harry is going to find privacy and peace from the press in his future life because he will still be deliberately taking a very public role in generating riches for his family as celebrities. Harry is already not known for being particularly bright (just stating it, not being mean). Because he married a woman who was already a celebrity and thrived off the press seeking celebrity world and apparently still wants a future in front of the camera. She just didn't want the critical side of the press attention. I'm not really sure what is going to play out down the road for this couple. They've resigned from their royal patronage and charities in order to sell stuff online, which is a weird way to be going about things. |
This. She seems very Queen Bee to me. I feel bad for Harry. She has burned many bridges in her life. Not healthy. |
| Why does he think they will be less hounded in Canada? I still think that’s naive, but I truly hope things work out for him. |
I'm sure your pun went right over your own head. |
However, he certainly had options for where to make this self-serving speech other than at a fundraiser for African children living with HIV. "Sorry you're sick, but let me tell you about REAL suffering!"
|
Thought the SAME exact thing! He should have called a press conference and read his speech. That would have been appropriate and respectful but again...it is like they are so entitled, self absorbed and completely tone deaf. Just like their "woe is is" Africa interview. Healthy Multimillionaire winning a genetic lottery of priveledge complaing about their lot while supposedly supporting people who are suffereng. They are so gross. I wish they would do as they say and GO AWAY. Sick of them. But that is not the plan...they want billions, more cameras, lifestyle brands and world domination. Such htpocrits. Puke. |

The petulant prince of self-pity made those remarks at a fundraiser for sick kids???
Seriously, people: how can anyone stand him/them anymore? If karma exists, those two will have a tougher time turning a buck than Fergie. They’ll resort to a series of embarrassing stunts and ultimately come crawling back to the UK in a decade. |
It was a fundraiser for a charity HE FOUNDED. He was explaining that he wasn't leaving them or the charity itself, just that he had to step back because life in the UK was untenable. But he'd always support the charity. |
It’s Royal protocol— how the family stands on the balcony. There was one event where she was on a completely different balcony because it’s by rank and she could not fit with Queen/Kate/Will/Charles. She looked pitiful. |
