The Trump women and their fashion mishaps thread

The waist seems off and the sleeves too short.

Wow, I don't like that the design has a seam down the front, with the giant plaid forming a chevron. At least I think that's what I'm seeing.

Wait did anyone scroll down, to see the speculation that this is her new stylist:

I don't get the dress, the designer (https://rosieassoulin.com/collections/dresses/products/off-the-shoulder-long-sleeve-dress) shows it brushing the top of the shoe and pitches it as falling off the shoulder. Ivanka's looks to have been shortened by a full width of the plaid. She also has an under layer showing, but thankfully no shoulder. Did someone shorten the lining to the exact same length?

Wow I actually LOVE that plaid dress. Love it.

I have a non-Ivanka nitpick. I hate that a 100% polyester dress retails for $1800. I love certain luxury brands but the increasing use of poly, acrylic, and stretch materials in higher and higher percentages of extremely expensive garments is repulsive and wasteful as hell.

that picture is super unnerving

I get that she's going for 1920s glam with that hair and (maybe) make up, but it looks awful on her. The bob she had when she first got the haircut was super cute, I hate it styled this way.

Oh no that dress is HORRIBLE. It's like her grandma made it from her using a pattern but didn't bother to make the pattern match at the seams

Agree! Hate over-priced synthetic fabrics.

I thought Ivanka had her own fashion line. Why doesn't she wear her own designs? I would love to design and wear my own stuff! It would all be made from natural fibers, plaids would line up, everything would be lined... it would be amazing.

Not too bad but odd. I put my white jackets away already. She looks like she is trying hard but always just a bit off. So weird.

She just can’t dress herself. She appears to be referencing Dior’s New Look (a style that coincided with the near complete stripping women of their newly acquired sociological and economic power, so kind of a gross reference) with that coat, her hair is 1930s Star of the Pictures! (which is how she sees herself), the makeup is 1930s Star of the Pictures! as interpreted by a Russian stripper and the pants are just the sad cropped pants they all wear. The effect is sorta grandma sorta stripper.

No. It really isn't. You're reaching so hard to make that work, but it's not.

I stand my ground that it is, based on the makeup alone.

Agreed. Plenty of grandma but no stripper. Upthread someone said it would be perfect for the new employee in an insurance agency - that seems about right.

I think that’s a bit of an insult to insurance agency employees. Most middle class women at her age would see a suit like that on a rack near the Alfred Dunner section in Macy’s and think to themselves “PASS,” if they gave a passing thought to it at all.

Ivanka is really special.

OMG the Alfred Dunner section at Macy’s. PERFECT.

It's becoming more clear that Ivanka takes after her father - poor fitting clothes, poor clothing choices, horrible complexion (either from tanning or make up choices), hair that looks like plastic, etc. They are both de-evolving.

Can someone explain the photographer who is always in front of her house taking pictures of her when she leaves? Does the photographer secretly work for Ivanka? Or is it really a papparazzo? I saw all the family pictures of the Kushners walking to shul that were linked above. They were just so staged - it looked like a photo session if you hire your own private photographer.

I thought the same thing.

Yes, I bet she does hire someone. The Secret Service may be laughing. Lol

She has too because no one is interested in them enough to have pap photos daily. Especially in DC!! Absurd.

But I am glad for her stages photos so we can critique her clothes. If only she read this and took some advice.

No, it sells like she is wearing it off the rack, but she did hem it: https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/rosie-assoulin-mixed-plaid-long-sleeve-dress/product/0400011242112?ranMID=13816&ranEAID=TnL5HPStwNw&ranSiteID=TnL5HPStwNw-gMnZGit6fxI6U_ut8YCTlA&site_refer=AFF001&mid=13816&siteID=TnL5HPStwNw-gMnZGit6fxI6U_ut8YCTlA&LSoid=646488&LSlinkid=10&LScreativeid=1
