Kamala Harris’ office rife with dissent

Some speculation that some of this is coming from her camp to distance herself from Biden and self-preserve for her future career.

Other speculation that she will be given a soft landing like SCOTUS to induce her resignation.

Where are our Latinx allies?

This is like the black guest at the country club and all the white folks be like, I don’t know who that is, or I barely know here and tilt their heads away. Been their white folks, your spots don’t change.

I hope this is some false-flag Republican working to make Harris seem even more like a disaster. The fact no one on this thread can make her compelling is so telling. And in addition, the people who correctly note her vapidity are given the knee-jerk ‘sexist’ and ‘racist’ routine: it’s pathetic!

Highly respected prosecutor. Highly respected VP.

But now the went too high.

It’s like the black boy everybody loves until he takes the white girl to the dance.

Kamala just doesn’t know her place.

Mnuchin is a free man: Harris sucked as a prosecutor!!! The rest of your crap is every bit as weak.

Our marching shoes are only to deliver you votes.

Guess that whole “representation matters” does it apply to black women.

This pattern of incompetence, of regularly painting themselves into a corner is a huge part of why the Democrats are such a disaster. They make so much trouble for themselves that the Republicans, incompetent as they are, have scant serious challenges threatening them. It’s such a cluster-f!

Agreed and as a republican I hope she doesn’t. She does free events for the RNC everyday.

So what happens if she is nominated for SCOTUS and doesn't get the Senate votes? Would she be able to serve as the tie breaker? Or would she be asked to step down so she could be nominated for SCOTUS? In which case if she doesn't get the votes, too bad?

Ah, fail upwards yet again…..brilliant idea.

What I don’t understand is why doesn’t she get to work on the border and immigration? Even if it’s a fools errand the optics of her down at the border speaking with immigrants and border patrol to “understand the issues” would be very positive for her image. Does she think it’s beneath her? Just such bizarre behavior.

This is doubly true when you remember she’s the child of two immigrants. Unfortunately, I think any attempt will just show she’s a cipher who serves her paymasters.

She seems very calculating by nature. She probably also sees immigration as a no-win issue. By taking ownership and so publicly tying herself to such a visceral "failure" she would be putting the proverbial millstone around her political neck.

I suppose, but doing absolutely nothing and letting the situation deteriorate isn’t going to win her any accolades plus she’s passing Biden and his team off.

Reading that I think I may have found *some* support for the idea that identity plays a role in her media reception. Pete B is also a scandalous joke, but gets away with it. Honestly, it’s not to say Harris isn’t awful, just that Pete has gotten a break in spite of his fraudulence.

But the people in her office might be well served to help us see her ‘strengths’. I’m not sure there are any!

What does it say about her political acumen that she can’t work well with her boss? I’ve long been skeptical of her talents, but the failure to step up when things really matter comes across a very telling.

Agree, but do VP's typically need "accolades" to advance politically? Maybe her strategy was to just hang out until Joe is gone and then ascend to the front of the Dem queue. Survive a term unscathed and then take over. It's looking like she miscalculated.

Not to open a can of worms, but this reminds me a bit of what Chapelle was talking about in his controversial special.
