I worked at one of the Ed membership associations from 2003-8. A research paper was done on the big money conservatives behind all the school choice and voucher pushes. The right has been trying to tear down public education for a LONG time.

They sure have. Education isn’t perfect, but it does keep improving, and an informed populace is deadly to the GOP.
