yes, it has to be a SECRET ballot. No one will know which Republicans vote to convict that POS. Even if the GOP slimes out (why should we expect better from these shytes??) the Orange Fatso will be in JAIL before long, convicted in NY for many crimes. I can't wait to see his pudge stuffed into an orange jumpsuit and his crappy yellow hairdo reduced to prison stubble. |
“ Not all Republicans were convinced the trial is unconstitutional, with five voting with Democrats to dismiss Paul’s point of order: Collins, Utah’s Mitt Romney, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski, Nebraska’s Ben Sasse and Pennsylvania’s Patrick J. Toomey.” https://www.rollcall.com/2021/01/26/trump-conviction-unlikely-senate-impeachment-trial/ That’s it. That’s the whole lot of semi-decent GOP who still uphold their oaths. OP. |
Thanks, that’s just about exactly who I would have guessed. |
According to Jeff Flake, 10k registered GOPers have officially changed their party since Jan 6th. This is going to be catastrophic for GOP and I’m all for it.

*10k GOPers in AZ alone. |
Slow death for the Republican Party. |
Not fast enough. Like an abusive patriarch slowly dying of cancer, the GOP is causing a lot of damage. |
They're just cowards. Nothing is set in stone. Keep applying the pressure. Maybe they will convict. |
They're looking at control of congress in 2022. They can't do it by alienating their base, which is wholly beholden to Trump. So, while they are bleeding slowly, between voter suppression, and gerrymandering, they can maintain control at least in the near term. IF there had been a repudiation of the party and its politics in the last election, maybe it would have accelerated the process. But, as it stands, they have nothing to lose in the next say 10 years, by sticking to their guns. |
There should be charges of sex with an intern. Or wearing a tan suit to meet with foreign leaders. Those are things that really rile up the GOP. And clearly are WAY more important than sedition, inciting riots, and undermining democracy. You'd get a full "yay" on impeachment. |
Agree. I am not a fan of any politicians, but the current GOP are the worst of all time...the most brazenly and transparently disgusting, cowardly, unethical hypocrites. I'm at my limit listening to their BS rationalizations as to why it's ok for Trump to do anything he wants, including treason. |
Nope. He's been credibly accused of sexual assault by over 20 women. Even Roy Moore won the GOP nomination after accusation of sexually abusing teen girls. Everything is forgivable for these hypocrites. |
Wrong!! He won the nomination BEFORE the accusations were lodged. Accusations came out shortly after he won. Funny how that happened. (He was a terrible candidate to start with--even without the accusations., but they came out afterwards. Just think, he had held public offices for many years and yet, these accusations did not come out until the Senate race against a Dem.) He would not have won the nomination had it come out earlier. Get your facts straight. |
Explain the fact that you put serial sexual assaulter Donald Trump on the ticket again. |
