14-7 final.

Game wasn’t close at all in the 2nd half. Not sure if Preps star fogo played as Spalding really controlled the face off X. Really impressed with Spaldings 6v6 settled offense. Preps defense looks lost.

It’s funny...when Bullis beat up on Spalding and won by 4, all the Spalding crowd says it was a scrimmage abs didn’t really count. Now...GP treats it like a scrimmage, and the Spalding crowd thinks they are the second coming...which is it??

Spalding has been playing to win ever scrimmage this year. Have things to prove. Never made playoffs before in the miaa.
They only played 15 kids been that way every game scrimmage or whatever. Its win this year or bust. Probably their best team ever. Next year different story no good 23 or 24 recruits. Kelly Ripley and Cottle built this team for one year. Phipps took the bait and sacrifice the program for this year only.

It was nice for spalding to host Prep for its first scrimmage of the season. You would have thought it was the super bowl with the national anthem and an announcer, for a scrimmage. Spalding won all the faceoffs and both teams had most of their top guys in for 1H. After that Prep emptied the bench. Spalding well coached with good players; Prep clearly not organized yet and had some top guys out. Would be bizarre to treat this as a normal game.

Assuming GP emptied their bench in the 2nd half, Spalding was the much better team in the first half. They controlled the tempo of the game.
I figured GPs fogo was sitting the game out as Spalding fogo dominated the X.

I thought Prep had some loaded 2023 class? I guess all of those 17 year old sophomores peaked in 8th snd 9th grade as they hardly shined today.

Bullis will run through the IAC again this Spring and the Prep Dads will come up with the same old excuses.

Remember being an elite club player doesn’t always equate to being an excellent high school player.

Two conclusions from this scrimmage. Spalding is legit and SJC May be the best DMV team

Are Bullis and SJC playing one another this Spring in an actual game?

Bullis has the senior talent to compete with anyone and is also very well coached.

I watched the second half of the game. It looked like a scrimmage. Very pedestrian game play. If that is as well as both teams can play and it those are the best each team has....they will not have a good seasons

I agree.....did not look all that impressive on either side. But, as people have said on here....its a scrimmage.

GP’s star Fogo transferred to IMG. Maybe he took a few other kids with him.

That is bad info. GPs sophomore second string FOGO transferred to IMG. Junior UVA commit still at Prep, just sat out scrimmage.

I believe 2 - 3 kids transferred out of Prep this year.

2 went to IMG.

I believe it was the sophomore fogo and a senior middie

The important thing is to sleep on Landon.

Prep looked bad for a team with 19 D1 commits. Their defense is awful and if their star FOGO is banged up, Prep will struggle. Even when the Lil Hoyas had the ball on offense, they couldn't generate much offense.

I stopped watching after the 3rd quarter and Prep's stars and young guns were non existent (non factors) against any of Spaldings starters. Spalding seemed to keep the pedal to the metal for the 3rd.

Prep just started to practice. Spalding has been going for months and is very good. Prep will be fine.
