I think on the R ticket the Lt Gov & AG candidates are black & Hispanic IIRC.

It is unbelievable to me that you equate virtual learning during a pandemic to a violent attack on the seat of our democracy.

Republicans are against democracy. A vote for a Republican is a vote against our democracy. Beyond trump and the national Republicans whitewashing the national 1/6 attack, you have Republican led states conducting “audits” of a legitimate election and passing laws that allow legislators to overrule county election officials’ vote counts.

The gop is literally delusional at this point.

Vote them out.

The Democrats run everything in Virginia at this point. And we're all paying the price for their pandering.

We need more balance, especially at the state and local level.

I’m curious to know what price it is that you think we’re paying

The largest price I paid that I am aware of was no in person school option until March this year and that was a very heavy price.

Yes. Black female for Lt. Gov and Hispanic male for AG. Republicans

No one seems interested in the Dem primary today. Less than 3 percent turnout in Fairfax County.

Why do we think no one is voting? They just will vote for any D in the election and they don’t care who? Or are they disenfranchised with the D party?

Politico: “Today, Virginia holds its primary contests to determine which candidates will appear on the general election ballot in the fall.

But when all the primary votes are tallied, it’s possible that Democrats may end up with three white men atop the ticket.“

Who knows? How can they do exit polls when only 3 percent of voters show up? 97 percent don't even bother. I’m guessing Youngkin and his campaign are thrilled to see the “turnout” today.

McAuliffe, the “Macker”, gives off such a sleazy vibe. Has he always been this way? I’m a new Virginia resident.

The reason I am voting for him today is because I had no issues with his term.

You are not paying attention if you think only blue states stayed closed. Only four states ordered all schools open. Many many other states went by the health metrics in their districts. Many blue states opened fully early, while many red states stayed closed until the spring as well.

Only the idiots in TX, FL< IA and Arkansas refused to consider individual metrics.

I am paying attention, thanks. And the Health metrics in Fairfax county were such that we should have followed the Gov’s rules to open at 6 feet in August. We were never so much worse than the rest of the state that we should have ever considered a need to be more conservative than what was allowed. I get that Northam is a D but I am paying the price for the school board - all of whom I voted for except Omeish.

Democrats are already worried about November as several campaigns tell me that turnout this morning is very low across the state.

crazy trump lovers? hard pass

I didn't vote for all white guys today, but I would rather vote for anyone with a D behind their name than an R. For so many reasons.

I was sitting our precinct table this morning and was being swarmed by freaking nats, not cicadas.
