Or they face even steeper liability because they are not following the state youth soccer recommendations.

Hogan moved group practice to phase 1..i wonder if msysa will also...

What Hogan and MoCo does is law. MSYSA can only issue guidelines/recommendations. Hence, clubs/organizations don’t need or require to follow MSYSA since it’s not law.

stage 1 is up to 10 total on a quadrant- 9 players 1 coach

Individual drills only. No goalkeeper training.

BSC and other clubs will have small practices soon.

Bethesda parent here as well. I have not heard of such a thing. Isn't the season over for most age groups? What age group are you?

I keep seeing folks talking about BSC restarting training on here. What would they be training for at this time? The "potential" for a previously cancelled tournament to be played in the Summer?

The Ecnl teams never stop training. Theyll be training for august--> Fall

It's normally one free week, and we normally don't do that one either because their camps are terrible.
Except for the residential camp, which we're obviously not doing.

Its not 2 new or additional free weeks. They normally give 1 free full day week to players. This is 2 free half day weeks as they only have half days now. So it seems they are giving the same deal that all players got before covid.

When you click to register, the actual Tryout locations are Richard Montgomery HS or Walter Johnson HS. I guess not being able to obtain a permit is not preventing BSC to hold tryouts at Public Schools.

helpful info for people inquiring. We were told by coach that if the club shuts down due to Covid during the 20-21 season you get a refund for that time. It was in a clear presentation given to the team by the coach. This presentation is used for the different age groups. Obviously confirm but they seem to have a clear policy for next year. This year wasn’t great but it was a surprise.

Don’t believe anything they say if it’s not in writing. And right now there’s nothing firm in the contract about refunds.

9 kids / 1 coach.

45 kids/ 5 coaches.

Many of these coaches are being paid regardless.

All sports don't use fields

LOL i know my kid starts sports camp in 2 weeks in moco and its not on a field.

Find someone else to worry about.

PP - what camp is opening in 2 weeks? Our sports camp cancelled. Would love an alternative.

There were a cpl people who asked me which camp i was referring to in moco opening Monday and another PP told me good luck. Yes, our camp is still starting. But if you are still interested, there are a couple listed in a thread the camps/ daycare section under those open for the summer. Pages 5 plus list a couple moco sports camps. Mine isnt there but still good alternatives.
