Why? You are just as likely to catch it here.

The idea is to STOP THE SPREAD. If we can limit the spread by limiting travel, we should do that. I’m not terribly concerned about getting sick myself, but I don’t want to be a carrier who infects other people. We need to think about others.

We’re planning on Disney the week before Easter, too. 4 kids under 8. Should we cancel? It’s been a beast to plan but I’m sadly thinking yes we should.

I would. Mostly because I wouldn't want to be quarantined somewhere that's not home. We can't stop the spread. It's here. But we can slow it down and not create hot spots which will overwhelm the health care facilities.

I really don’t foresee quarantines within the US. Just rent a car and drive home.

We’re not cancelling our spring break cruise to the Caribbean.

??? Until people stop going to work, school, church, and the grocery store no one is stopping the spread. It’s already here, it’s already there. Unless you are sick, carry on.

I also thin he'll veto my plan to pick her up from the airport and take the kids to NYC (without DH)...most likely he will say going anywhere would be taking a risk of contracting and transmitting the virus. However, we would be staying in an outer boro with family, not at a hotel or hanging out in Times Square.

Should sister cancel/postpone visit? Should I push for NYC? We're talking long weekend end of March.

That’s ridiculous. Let her come..

So much hysteria on this thread.

I would just take him right before boarding and say nothing about the bathroom either way. Don’t suggest it, but if he has to go, take him.

Have fun being quarantined for a month when some passenger gets the sniffles.

We just canceled our trip for next week.

I'm not as conservative about travel as many of the folks on this thread but no way would I risk quarantine on a cruise. Between the likelihood of spread on a ship and the conditions of qyaray, not worth it to me.You're stuck in your room for weeks! Look at the cruise off the CA coast, no place for them to quarabtine on land which means stuck on the boat ...

Anyway if we see pandemic level spread, cruises might be cancey

I wish people would stop asking and just cancel your damn trip!!! Even if its a destination that's not affected. Just the plane ride airport can be a cesspool. What's wrong with just being home or in the area one year?? Absolutely not the end of the world. Not asking to hide in a bunker but darn it just stay still!!)

Eventually they will stop quarantining people. There will be too many.

It isn't ridiculous compared to the rest of the questions / answers in this thread. The most common comment is to cancel
