what the hell is that suppose to mean!? I suppose you think that she deserved this in some way!!! |
I think it possible this was raised because the beauvoir security officer involved in this weekend's awful incident may have also been involved in the decision to walk the beauvoir teacher involved in the "scandal" incident off the school premises rather than calling the police right away. |
| I think the bad karma comment was meant to be a funny quip, but funny quips are inappropriate here. Plus, it implies that this terrible violence was somehow deserved. |
Maybe he is lurking and will post something from another state so his IP address can be traced and he can be caught. Then he can be sent to jail where he deserves to be. |
| I think he may be enjoying playing cat and mouse. He definitely changed his email etc. He is smart. They have been looking for over 10 weeks for him and have not found him yet. People might think that therefore he must be dead, but he is somewhere, and definitely lurking. I'd like to think the FBI and police could find him, but I am not sure. He is really smart as I said. |
This post is weird and creepy. |

I'm a former Beavoir parent. I'd been following this thread because I still have friends with kids there. I stayed away while out of the country for a few weeks. It hasn't changed. I'm simply amazed at the level of conversation in this thread: petty, speculative, angry, etc.
I'm staying anonymous because my kids are still on the Close and this Administration is not beyond taking it out criticism on children. I think that's true a lot of places. Keeps the parents in line. Let's stick to the important issues that we know about, can we? There are three questions that are important: was the school justified in his being hired and still teaching at Beauvoir, was he being supervised and then how did they handle it when they found out what was going on? As to the first, there has been little discussion beyond the issue of the hiring process and background check. This fellow started as a classroom assistant . All the reasonable and proper checks were done, it seems - references, background, etc. I guess assistants are asked back for a second year as an assistant if they do okay, which most do. After the first, probably because he's a man and it's hard to find men- (but I don't know that - just speculation), he was promoted to be a main classroom teacher. I've been told this is pretty unusual for a 1-year assistant teacher. I understand the division person and another senior administrator thought that wouldn't be a good idea - not because of anything related to do with the incident, but with his readiness and general maturity. But, the story I heard is that a younger staff member was pushing his promotion. Paula, who makes all the decisions at this school and if you think otherwise you're a bit naive I'm afraid, went against the experienced view and followed the inexperienced one. Bad judgment #1. Then, at the end of his first year of being the main teacher, I heard someone went to Paula and told her he/she witnessed some uncomfortable behavoir that WAS related to the incidents. Nothing overt, apparently, but just enough innappropriate "closeness" to make the observer feel uncomfortable. He was allowed to stay anyway. Bad judgment #2. As for Question 2, supervision, I was told by a person with a child in the class that the Division Director was in xxxxx's class a lot - like daily for long stretches - because he was letting the children get away with dangerous behavoir. She was there so much the children had an uncomplementary nickname for her - like "the witch" or something. I can't imagine she saw anything innappropriate or she would have blown the whistle. As for the way the situation was handled when they actually found the pictures and he left the building, enough has been said about that. Only thing you can say is there aren't a lot of people who have ever been in that situation before, so it's really tough to be totally critical. If Paula had called the police first and asked how she should handle it, who knows what they even would have said. But, bottom line, bad judgment #3. This year a friend said she came back to a new division director. The one who had the right take on xxxxx and suggested he not be promoted is doing something else for the shcool. The one who was so insistent on hiring him is - you guessed it - the new Division Director. Hmm. Is this bad judgment #4? I have a theory about who/what is most responsible for this happening. But I'm going to withhold judgement until more comes out, if it ever does. [ADMIN: This message was edited to redact the name of the teacher] |

The PP should be removed any current parents at the school who know about the changes in administration can put two and two together and figure out who the PP is speaking about. This is a breech of policy and possible could make parents feel a certain way about the new Division Director. Very unfair spectulations.

Thanks for posting that about judgment. I am with you, as I had a child there too, and believe there was not just bad judgment but also negligence. He was living in the classroom! Hello!!! Didn't anyone notice, even the asisstant teacher with him? And by the way that teacher who was in the class with him was actually hired back for this year. Bad judgment #5?!

Sorry if I'm being dense here--what does this mean? |

The words below are taken directly taken from your most recent post. My God, listen to yourself. This is the most ridiculous jumble of gossip and speculation. What value have you added to the discussion? You would do everyone a favor to go back on vacation and stop your unhelpful and mean spirited gossiping. “I guess…. but I don't know that - just speculation… I've been told … I understand …But, the story I heard is … I heard someone went to Paula and told her… I was told by a person with a child in the class … I can't imagine …this year a friend said … but I'm going to withhold judgment until more comes out, if it ever does…” |
What does this mean, "He was living in the classroom!" Who says he was living in the classroom? Do you mean figuratively? |
Who are you? You sound very incoherent. Your post is full of hearsay and a lot of misinformation. A current Beauvoir parent. |
| Living in the classroom means sleeping there. At night. Not going home, if he had one even. There was all kind of food in the classroom closet, and he was always looking like he needed to shower and often wore the same clothes. Speculation is he was actually sleeping there. He read files, spied on things and found a lot of information out by being there when noone else was around. |
I'm troubled about much of the gossip that is appearing in this thread. Because the messages are posted by anonymous users, we have no way to evaluate their truthfulness. For instance, the poster I quoted could be someone just trying to get all of us riled up, or could be someone with first hand knowledge. But, how do we know which it is? Could you give more context as to how you came to know this about the teacher? Did you witness these things first hand? Did you hear from a friend of a friend who knows someone that knows someone? |
