Facts.. KJ/BL coaching blue Branden Cullinan and Abby Wok Orange |
Playing on a middle school team does t guarantee better skills. There are plenty of public school girls that aren’t playing middle school and are just as strong if not stronger than privates. |
They may be as talented but the private school girls get three or more months of additional coaching and competition, often by the high school coaches, which puts them at a big advantage. |
The best private school 8th graders also played high school JV all spring, which is a higher level of play with 2 hour daily practices in addition to their club |
Wow! If you haven’t played for KJ before you’re in for a treat. Get mind over talent on speed dial |
Will add, from a different age group. If you are not a Saint, good luck with playing time. Capital is moving away from equal playing time btw. |
Really, they played equal playing time all weekend on my daughter's team. |
| Talked with the new Orange coach today and he said equal playing time |
I think the idea there is to get girls who aren’t Saints to transfer. |
| They will say equal playing time at the beginning but as time goes by you will see a change. |
They changed the handbook this year with language about not being equal PT. It’s up to the individual coaches. I can tell you for a fact for the 28s this fall both teams needed to win to move up In rankings for this summer to be in better brackets. It was not equal playing time |
Just ask any of the cap academy 2030 parents who the Capital blue coach is - winner-winner chicken dinner > BL. Ask the cap parents about their 1:1 calls with BL - if they’re honest, they’ll tell you what a joke it was. At least the one call with GJ was decent, at best. Kind of like a half baked fart - a lot of air, but disappointing! Capital Blue will still be a solid team. Heck, based on some questionable selections, orange may even end up being better. |
parent of an Orange player - DON'T DO IT! |
I don’t understand. Is BL not a good coach? |
If Cap moves away from equal PT what is their selling point? The blue team isn’t in the top brackets and need more than unequal playing to get there. |
