Real world training on US citizens? Explain yourself. |
NP, explain “real world” training in the context of war? What aspect of their “training” do you see playing out on the streets of our country? Add to this the Posse Comitatus Act (look it up) and the suggestion that we use us military personnel domestically is illegal. This is just another example of glaring level of ignorance by the current administration. |
Recruitment improved under the previous administration because a fat farm was added to help recruits become eligible. Hegseth despises fat people, so will he continue to maintain the fat farm to help recruiting. |
And frankly I don't see how rounding up homeless people who have mental illnesses and addiction problems will prepare them at all for a war against the Chinese over Taiwan. If they want real world experience, maybe they should help Ukraine out. That's the real world of war. |
Exercise 1: track down and neutralize the 1500 people who attacked the US Capitol. |
It was a Zoom call! It was broadcasted live! |
Were you there? I’ve seen a few anecdotal anonymous reports from a few attendees being unhappy but hardly anything universal. They’re not supposed to clap and cheer if that’s what you’re basing it on. For better or worse Hegseth seems to enjoy pretty broad support among the enlisted (saying this based on both professional experience and personal connections). Many feel the top brass and political leaders are out of touch. |
Of course they think this! They are 20 and don't have the intellect to be generals. Hegseth and his idea that bravado+pushups = warrior is a lot more appealing to them than the recognition that they will never be top officer material. |
He did 0 pulls ups. He did do some chin ups which are considerably easier than pull ups |
+1 |
Exactly. I thought there was a move to cut out government inefficiency... |
So you're suggesting that overseas military actions will primarily involve strolling sidewalks and picking up garbage? |
- and still then progressive / leftist press insists on lying about Secretary Hegseth. John Harwood, CNBC Chief Washington Correspondent, for example, is exceedingly dishonest. He is also a racist and a misogynist. He recently falsely “reported” on the Hegseth address, where Secretary Hegseth called out military brass who set poor examples for the troops they lead. Specifically, Secretary Hegseth stated military leaders should not be “obese,” (and there are fitness standards in .mil), nor should they be “lazy.” In a ridiculous spin on the words “obese” and “lazy , journalist John Harwood made the absurd stretch of interpreting Secretary Hegseth’s words as specific attacks on Black officers and female officers. Mr. Harwood, if you are reading this: care to explain why you believe (and implied) that women and Black people are lazy and obese? You made that claim, John. It was not Secretary Hegseth who did it. |
