Not sure how true these claims are but 100% put pressure on the board to be transparent with spending. Seems this whole thing was based on finances, so why not tell us what they are? It should be published as a nonprofit to begin with.

Anyone know anything about this new board member? I was at the meeting and she didn’t come off like the one I’d pick but oh well

New poster but who knows where any money you give an organization goes? The fees are not higher than any other nearby club and in many cases lower. With GFR I've gotten what was needed for my DCs development and skill level if not I would leave. The rest of the politics don't matter to me at all. Reading this board seems as most if not all clubs have issues and some apparent shady management or coaching . Seems like a travel soccer issue not a GFR issue.

Okay, I don't have any need to argue about this. I am confident that these accusations about GFR and especially RS are not true. I understand the rumors will persist though so no sense in saying otherwise. If you *know* the opposite, please post this publicly available information about club spending to prove it.

I understand the rumors will persist though so no sense in saying otherwise. If you *know* the opposite, please post this publicly available information about club spending to prove it.

He coached 2 teams at Union and 2 at GFR this past year with no issues. The only complaints about him were as a TD at GFR, the parents who had him as a coach want him back!

There were a lot of other complaints with him as a coach of those teams...

ED steals money from club. Uses "the partnership" with NM to send money absurd amount of money to him, some kicked back to him. People find out, fire him. He hires a lawyer who finds a way to get him back. Everyone loves these guys IF, and big IF they give a damn about your team.
At the end of the day if you're the ED and TD, you have to care for the WHOLE club not just the teams you're coaching. You can't steal money from the club you supposedly run and work for. You shouldn't be running side sessions, summer camps and individual trainings as a ED or TD when you're the head of the club. A joke

Not OP but just because it hasn’t been published to the parents does not mean it’s not true. The club has been settling a handful of lawsuits for a number of years now. I can’t tell you how I know, but please pressure board to publish spending the next time there is a meeting. Ask about where your money is going to because you have every right to know. I haven’t been involved with the club for a little while, mostly bc I’m aware of RS and NM’s shady spending and court records, so you have every right to disagree with me. I’m just saying what I know.

So you requested and saw the club spending and reviewed it and that's how you came up with these conclusions? I am aware of the lawsuits against GFR, from disgruntled ex employees who didn't do their jobs and got terminated over it. I stand by my statement that you don't know what you're talking about, you've just heard rumors.

Honestly who cares. This stupid d*** slinging contest has been going on for months now and the only losers are the poor kids who just want to play some go**amn soccer. If something illegal is going on then the IRS will find out. Nobody on the board needs to act like the go**amn IRS following the money and determining what will make them lose the non profit status or not. Quite frankly, I don’t even give a damn if they are for profit or non profit. I’m still paying a crap load of money for some soccer at the end of the day. As long as there are games and practices and coaching, I don’t care! Move on from this and get your as*es on the field already.
