Agree. They want her to talk as little as possible. I have no idea why people here think she’s going to blow Trump away at the debate. She’s going to give us an hour of word salad with some irritating laughter thrown in for good measure. It won’t be pretty. |

Kamala also has a valid point. Trump agreed to the second debate and if he doesn't show, them she has prime time all to herself. Trump will show up because he has gone way beyond being scared. |

I'm a Harris supporter, and I don't disagree. She has done an okay job debating Pence, but nothing noteworthy. That's why it's even more puzzling that Trump didn't immediately agree, AND propose more debates on friendlier turf. What is he afraid would happen? |

I’m not sure how you make Trump look bad in a debate unless there’s real time fact checking. He’s not going to answer any question he doesn’t want to answer. He’ll talk about whatever he wants to talk about instead of answering the question that was asked (common for politicians), and he will lie, lie, lie. He doesn’t need to know facts because he’ll just make stuff up, like “The jobs that are created [under Biden] - 107% of those jobs are taken by illegal aliens.” He doesn’t have to know anything or even make sense. All he has to do is stoke his base’s fear and anger and call Harris some names, and everyone who was already going to vote for him will be happy with his performance. Meanwhile, because Harris isn’t elderly, she’s only been a presidential candidate for a couple weeks, and she’s not the one who won the Democratic primaries, her performance will be heavily scrutinized. Biden did so poorly that if she doesn’t have a very strong performance as his replacement, all of the momentum and enthusiasm from the last couple weeks will disappear. |

Harris should keep to the September 10 agreement. If he does not show, Harris should play brief videos from Trump's rallies, stop the tape and explain her side of every claim he makes. Be sure and mock him a bit. Trump is trying to show dominance. Harris is Vice F'in President. She's busy. Surely, he can move a golf game around and be there. Trump is scheduled to be sentenced for his 34 felonies on September 18 in Manhattan. I hope he can make room in his busy schedule. He is so weird. |

You make Trump look bad by letting him defeat himself, as he did in the first debate of 2020 with his constant interruptions. The use of a mute button has saved Trump from his worst impulses so Harris might have to try fact-checking him. |
