LE has said child was in the house and that Brendan Banfield was not home when Joe Ryan was shot by Juliana Peres Magalhaes.

I think plan was for AP to take child out of the house. BB killed his wife and then left, with plan for JR to come over and help with some supposed issue. Plan was for AP to arrive home, "catch" JR there and shoot him, thinking he was an intruder, then call 911 and report same. She panicked and he had to step in for fear that she'd blow their story, hence claiming responsibility.

He will let AP try to take the fall, she'll flip, he'll be arrested.

Awful story and by all accounts CB was a good human, as was JR, and then there's the child. Just awful.

I just can’t wrap my head around choosing murder over divorce. Whoever did this is dumb and evil. Of course, I honestly can’t imagine hiring someone I know almost nothing about to live in my home and care for my children either. The whole thing is awful. That poor girl.

The police have stated the daughter was in the house. Those poster or posters are wrong.

No… police have said the daughter was in the house when LE arrived. The AP is claiming she AND the daughter were out of the house and came back and found an unusual car at the house. That’s when everything went down. No one is saying the daughter was out of the house when the crime took place. This would line up with BB luring JR to the house….

The other problem with this theory is that CB was still alive when she went to the hospital, so it's extremely unlikely he stabbed her in the middle of the night or whatever...

Juliana is sticking with the home invasion, Joe as stabber, Brendan as shooter story, despite ALL of it having been discredited by LE.

The Wone case showed that the narrative does not have to be plausible, if everyone sticks to it and you get lucky on forensics, you may skate. Same scenario of an equal number of wounds and perps, vow of silence. At least in VA the forensics were stronger and they pinned the shooting on Juliana. This plus no home invasion undermined her statements and Brendan's.

Joe's family likely provided his electronics to LE very quickly, so they could confirm he was invited and they emphasized no sign of break in. Who let him in, Brendan? Had Christine been attacked by the time Joe arrived after 7?

Juliana would likely not be strong enough to stab Christine to death so she would have to be shooter if the plan was to each kill one for complicity.

Joe was big, fit and marital arts trained so he'd have to be shot, stabbing would be risky.

I agree with the scenario above but think Christine could have been stabbed earlier, even drugged in wine during the birthday celebration the night before, or similar. No neighbors reported hearing a disturbance.

Agree but could have been before or after Joe's arrival, after 7 from earlier thread. Then 1st 911 call at 7:49, not much time. But yes, not to be graphic but if stabbed you bleed out, so the fact that she was still alive in the ER is important. I wonder if the 911 call gaps were to ascertain if she was in fact close to death. Had they summoned help, she may have lived.

Obviously Juliana did not do a good enough job re: any gunpowder residue, fingerprints, etc. if she has been charged, contrary to the tales she and BB both told that pegged him as the avenging husband shooter.

I guess Brendan being covered in blood could be excused as rendering aid or something? LE has said they have all weapons, so the knife was recovered. They noted he has an assigned gun for FBI but have not indicated if that was the gun that killed Joe.

If/when Juliana starts saying things that are true, it will be easier to round out the details.

Ok, I see the point re: timing of stabbing, think probably after 7, but still think she may have been drugged. Seems likely that Brendan let Joe in. Do they have keypad entry? If so, he was provided a code.
