It sounds like they went out then came back and the coming back was the trigger for the false narrative of "strange car" and home invasion, etc. Going out may have been a way to keep the child away from her mom, if she had already been attacked, or, if Christine was alive, a time with no kiddo in home for Joe's arrival.

I think plan was for AP to take child out of the house. BB killed his wife and then left, with plan for JR to come over and help with some supposed issue. Plan was for AP to arrive home, "catch" JR there and shoot him, thinking he was an intruder, then call 911 and report same. She panicked and he had to step in for fear that she'd blow their story, hence claiming responsibility.

He will let AP try to take the fall, she'll flip, he'll be arrested.

Awful story and by all accounts CB was a good human, as was JR, and then there's the child. Just awful.[/quote]
