In DC, many supporting docs are linked on the court website. Does anyone know how to find the police affidavit from the VA hearing charging the au pair? The webpage set up does not make it obvious to me.

No… police have said the daughter was in the house when LE arrived. The AP is claiming she AND the daughter were out of the house and came back and found an unusual car at the house. That’s when everything went down. No one is saying the daughter was out of the house when the crime took place. This would line up with BB luring JR to the house….

Where are you seeing this information? It's not in any of the FCPD blog posts or news articles I've read.

Horrible end for anyone and Joe was wrong place/wrong time, but the fact that Christine had worked as a well respected victim advocate and her family was LE, and still she was in some sleeping with the enemy scenario, hard to fathom.

Right, she has not entered a plea. But a police affidavit was filed to support the charge. Many news outlets refer to it or quote details from it. Trying to find it in entirety and not sure exactly where VA puts on website.

That's pretty much the only theory left on the table. LE calls Joe a victim, so, wasn't him. Did not charge ap for stabbing. So, only 1 other person there. In this kind of plan often each person has culpability to ensure silence. Joe had to be shot due to size and strength. Juliana is small and likely would be matched in strength by Christine. So, plan was for Brendan Banfield to stab his wife and for Juliana to shoot Joe Ryan, who was invited into the home to be the fall guy. There are similar cases linked in this thread. Sometimes they take a long time to solve.

VA is trying to squeeze the au pair for assistance with the remaining case against Brendan Banfield, they get one shot and want it to be as strong as possible, with as many charges as they can prove, conspiracy, etc. So far, both she and Brendan keep telling their patently false tales that LE has said are not true. No home invasion. Joe did not stab Christine. Brendan did not shoot Joe. All planned yet implausible lies to try to save their own skins.

Time will tell if that changes. If she talks they will likely plead her charge down to manslaughter. She was overcharged to create a squeeze play, that is why people were puzzled by it.

Can you imagine? With the little girl elsewhere in the house? And that they lived there after, going out, posting on the Gram, etc.?

LE has said Joe was shot when Brendan was not home. Are you suggesting he stabbed Christine, left, then came back? Very little time.

If Christine had not been attacked when Joe was shot by the au pair, I'd think she'd call 911, if able. Brendan was not in house per LE. Maybe she was incapacitated in some other way until he returned? So horrible, those poor people. Christine really hung on and fought to survive.

I imagine they have evidence like GPS or cell phone pings, cameras, etc. to pinpoint comings and goings.

I’m really interested to know 1- of the AP went to the funeral 2- what Brendan’s story was with friends and family at the funeral? Was his story that he’s the one that pulled the trigger on an intruder? 3- what does Christine’s family think about all of this now?

On websleuths, someone said there was a car in the driveway Friday the 13th with the trunk and doors all open…while there was an armored police vehicle and eight uniformed officers. They could have been looking for more evidence?

Stab her naked while she is lying down. Rinse off in shower. Make sure any blood goes down the drain. No blood in car. He leaves. AP phones 911 but doesn’t say more than friend hurt - just to establish timeline and BB not home. Wait for Joe (not hours, minutes). Joe arrives, finds Christine. Shoot Joe.

Just one possible scenario. There must be dozens.
