Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
One of the three scenarios? I thought LC is moving under Scenarios 1 and 3. |
Right result but totally inept and corrupt process. |
+1 |
OK, so based on Lees Corner then the official FCPS position is that every area that doesn't want to move will stay put? |
Agree and spot on to the person who predicted they would cater to the wealthier, whiter neighborhoods and ignore what the less affluent neighborhoods want. |
Essentially the messsge is to yell early and often and stomp your flower as loudly as possible. There’s no indication in this message of the reason for their position so others at Westfield and Centreville in particular are left guessing as to their futures and those of their schools. These people suck so much. I absolutely despise them. |
You can't run a school system like this! |
It is. These people are sloppy and cowardly. Where is their thoughtful, well-reasoned explanation for why Lees Corner stays in Chantilly and who do these Sb members think should be moved instead? |
| So can the School Board members simply declare X or Y isn't happening? |
| feet, not flower |
| Doesn't Seema Dixit represent Centreville as well (Sully District)? |
As a group, sure. But these one-off communications are abhorrent because these are the same dipshits who put their faith in Reid to conduct a botched process that results in stupid proposals they then want brownie points for disavowing. |
When your feedback is based in logic and supporting rationale, it carries more weight, as it should. Their argument was not just "we don't want to move." It made no sense at all to move them. |
Because scenario 3 also moves entire sections of kids OUT of Navy and sends them to Waples Mill>Franklin>Oakton. |
Multiple posters pointed out on here the reasons they were moved. If they aren't moving them because no one should be moved from a closer school to a farther away school, then that theory upends the entire boundary process. |
