I'm going to get it from the library and read it. I'll report back.

Ooooh good call. I’ll do the same. Let’s compare notes.

Oh wow. Her book is terrible. She is so delusional.

I don’t understand this show. We get introduced to so many people- each week there eeems to be someone new. And we don’t get much follow up to what happens to them. So frustrating.

Has anyone featured on the show actually been matched? At some point they have to show her actually matching people for the show to work.

I wonder what happened with the poor guy in Nashik. I would have thought he should be focusing on someone closer to home, more traditional/conservative. Of course a Bombay socialite isn’t going to move to Nashik. He needs a hometown girl.

So I think his problem is his family’s chicken business. I do believe even meat eating families in India don’t want to marry into a family where the business is basically butchering chickens. They kept saying people didn’t want to go to Naushik. I had never heard of it but Wikipedia says it has ~1.5 mill people. That’s not a tiny village.

1) He wants a woman that is into a social life like women from the big cities. Likes to party, etc. but most women that like that scene don’t want to move to Nashik. He wants someone cosmopolitan that’s cool with living in a small town. He’ll find someone eventually but he’s going to need to compromise, I think he’s realizing that.

2) 1.5 million in a country of over a billion is small. It’s a town that’s more rural, very much a farming town. For reference, the population of Mumbai is over 20 million, Delhi is over 30 million.

3) I can’t remember his name, but he’s definitely hot. I still wouldn’t move to a small town for him though.

I liked Viral the man. He was so entertained by female Viral being such a hot mess.

One more fan of male Viral. I binge watched the whole series yesterday. So enamored with Indian cultureā¤ļø

Yep. Also loved Viral man. He was cute! And definitely amused/befuddled/surprised by whatever she said…but always with a smile!

+1. Seemed to have a good sense of humor/attitude. Hope we see more of him next season.

The doctor in Cleveland is such a catch, he seems like he has really high EQ on top of being a smarty pants. Lovely smile too.

Her singing voice is beautiful!!

Arshneel is by far the most appealing person on this show. And I love the woman he dates.
yes, they seemed very well matched! She had such a peaceful sense about her.

I think Rinkle is adorable. She, too, seems quick witted with a warm smile, and a very positive person.

hahaha yes. and then he was only interested in the "hot chick" who clearly was not interested in him.

Yes. He claimed he's athletic but I could see the belly tire. And then when he asked the waitress to leave his food for him. I just want to scream at some of these people "What exactly do YOU bring to the table?" You want someone super hot? Then you need to be super hot too. Like when ... was it Viral who said she was super adventurous and then her date was like "I go skydiving, do you?" No. "I do this other exciting thing and also this other exciting thing, do you?" No and no.

Agree the guy from Miami was the absolutely worst. I am sure (I hope?) he cringed hard watching that back. What I found fascinating about him feeling that he deserves a gorgeous girl is that his mom said, "he says he wants me basically. lol. I am nice and sweet with everyone and caring and a good cook, etc." So... does he think his mom 40 years ago was a hot chick? I don't mean that in a mean way, I'm sure she looked great and adorable, but not so different (less attractive, maybe) from the girl who came to see him from Brooklyn. My point is it's this weird cognitive dissonance.... my parents have this great marriage that worked out beautifully, and I want and deserve that and more... it's like, why??

I think Nadia is a way cooler person, but like others said, also being immature. It could have worked out with this solid guy but then only gets butterflies with f*ckboys-- even having gone through a similar thing last season.

I wasn't crazy about the girl from NY who ended up finding the dancing doctor in Miami on her own... but I do think what she and even Viral (not of fan) said about what they bring to the table is a fair point.... I am single (divorced) in my early 40s, and I'm on the apps, and I feel like men really expect to have everything... an educated, good looking, successful, family-oriented woman (with looks being SO FAR the most important thing to a man, even for marriage, it is ridiculous) -- even if they aren't at the same level in those attributes. Even if they are very average looking.

Sima Auntie is much easier on the guys who think a girl is not hot enough for them. She'll attribute that mismatch to chemistry, but if it's the other way around, the women are picky and unreasonable. I find that she, and people in general, think single women should settle and be damn grateful. I really think there are a lot more women than men (at least at my old age!), that are catches. Making it very difficult for women.

100% agree!

I just finished season 2 last night and I can honestly say Viral (woman) has quite possibly the most annoying nasally voice I have ever heard. Aparna is ridiculous but at least her voice is tolerable.
Viral is so completely full of herself, talks like has a clothespin on her nose and has a serious attitude problem. I kept wondering the whole time how Askshay could possibly find this woman attractive and want to spend time with her. Did anyone notice he was trying to kiss her and she turned her head away.?. I think I saw this happen at least twice.
The show skips around too much. They need to pick 3-4 people max and just focus on that.
Lastly I like Viral (male) he was funny, outgoing and seemed witty. Meanwhile Viral (woman) was a complete bore and just flat out rude to her dates. I hope they don’t bring her back in season 3…

They do need to show closure with some of the people seeking matches.

That man is almost perfection. And actually, not that bad looking! I like men with strong features, he fits the bill. So smart, so kind, and he loves to dance. My heart!

+1. Totally agree with you on the Miami guy and I think his mom (and really his whole family) is delusional. Her son doesn’t want a girl like her, he wants someone hot in the conventional Indian sense. He loves and respects his mom only bc she’s his mom. If he met someone who looked like her he would reject them outright and deem them ugly. He basically hates himself.
