| Why is Aparna on the show if she isn't even using Aunty Sima's match making service? There's no reason to feature her on this show, or any show. |
Because people love to hate her. |
|
I'm going to get it from the library and read it. I'll report back. |
So I think his problem is his familyās chicken business. I do believe even meat eating families in India donāt want to marry into a family where the business is basically butchering chickens. They kept saying people didnāt want to go to Naushik. I had never heard of it but Wikipedia says it has ~1.5 mill people. Thatās not a tiny village. |
| Why did it end so abruptly and by introducing the new British woman so randomly? I guess setting it up for next season but it was bad editing. |
Yes another season, I assume a European market. |
I dunno, but I was confused and not even sure it had ended! |
Iām a NP, but I thought he was as wellā¦kind of obvious? |
Ooooh good call. Iāll do the same. Letās compare notes. |
Yep. Also loved Viral man. He was cute! And definitely amused/befuddled/surprised by whatever she saidā¦but always with a smile! |
Aparna totally gives me the same vibes as Christina from Married at First Sight.
|
I have been thinking that first part the whole time! Two very attractive people who are somehow much less attractive together, IMO |
a I thought he was gay as well, from his very first date with Aparna, |

Love this show and enjoy the insight into Indian culture. I want to have my face read lol.
One question I have is that matching seems to be an old fashioned concept and many young Indians seem to reject it initially, why is that? Does it not work out? They show these old couples as examples of being matched but I donāt always get a vibe of happiness in those relationships |
There's a difference between "arranged marriage" and "matchmaking". With the former, the parents had more control; with the latter, it's the children (with more than a little parental pressure ).
