A bit dry, but my reality options are drying up. Anyone watching? Thoughts on the cast?

| Pradhyuman is giving me major gaydar. I do feel bad because living in India it's not like he can be open about it. |
| I loved it! |
| I really like it! Aparna is something else. Nadia seems really sweet. |
| I love Indians |
| Enjoying it so far! |
Aparna grew on me. Definitely eye rolling at first but by the goat yoga scene she seemed a lot less uptight. |
| Are the Indians hot? I’m addicted to them |
|
Aparna is terrible. Vayasar is so sweet (and brave to put himself out there like that when he works with teenagers!). Pradhayuman also pinged my gaydar, poor dude. The 25-year old guy with the nutso mom who pretended to have blood pressure issues related to her son being unmarried was painfully awkward and made a terrible match (Radhika does not deserve that MIL).
I think I’m getting close to reaching the end of Netflix. |

I really like Sima Auntie - I thought she was going to be a judgmental auntie, but she actually seems very compassionate and kind.
Aparna - so obnoxious at first, but she I agree she grew likeable by the goat yoga episode. Nadia - just adorable. I felt so bad for her after the first guy, they seemed to really hit it off. Pradhayuman is in the closet. No way you see 150 biodatas and don't find anyone attractive. Vyasar - a total sweetheart. I'd date him! Akshay - not just a total momma's boy, but a complete manchild. The MIL doesn't seem that bad as a MIL actually, but she raised a man who has been pampered and probably can't even brush his teeth by himself. I feel so bad for whatever girl marries him, although the family seems wealthy enough that she's have a full staff of help. The denim company lady: I thought she was gorgeous! This whole "No one thinks I'll get married because I'm fat and ugly" is insane to me. Yes she's a little chubby, but her face is gorgeous - beautiful big eyes and full lips, great face shape, cute haircut, and strong woman. I love the little vignettes in the beginning of each episode of older couples sharing how they met. |

I’m not finished yet so I don’t know what happens with Pradhayuman but I came to this thread specifically because I wondered about the gay angle. It is indeed sad that at least on video no one has even raised that the right partner may not be a “girl.” I hope he finds happiness.
Aparna. I’m cringing because I think I was like that when I was in the dating pool. We lawyers are a special breed! |
Yes, Pradhyuman seems gay. |
|
Is it common to use a matchmaker or is it only used within certain groups?
I wish I had a matchmaker who would vet people for me! Really enjoying the show and insight into the culture. |
|
I love this show! Juicy guilty pleasure that portrays the arranged marriage process pretty accurately.
Wish they had picked some Indian (in India) cast members who weren’t super wealthy (seems like they are all 1 percenters). Can’t wait to finish the season. |
| I have a question about the process. All of the older couples met and were married within days but this seems almost like a matchmaking version of online dating. I thought part of the process was to get couples together without knowing much about each other so they figure out the warts and all after marriage? |
