hahaha yes. and then he was only interested in the "hot chick" who clearly was not interested in him.

Yes. He claimed he's athletic but I could see the belly tire. And then when he asked the waitress to leave his food for him. I just want to scream at some of these people "What exactly do YOU bring to the table?" You want someone super hot? Then you need to be super hot too. Like when ... was it Viral who said she was super adventurous and then her date was like "I go skydiving, do you?" No. "I do this other exciting thing and also this other exciting thing, do you?" No and no.

Agree the guy from Miami was the absolutely worst. I am sure (I hope?) he cringed hard watching that back. What I found fascinating about him feeling that he deserves a gorgeous girl is that his mom said, "he says he wants me basically. lol. I am nice and sweet with everyone and caring and a good cook, etc." So... does he think his mom 40 years ago was a hot chick? I don't mean that in a mean way, I'm sure she looked great and adorable, but not so different (less attractive, maybe) from the girl who came to see him from Brooklyn. My point is it's this weird cognitive dissonance.... my parents have this great marriage that worked out beautifully, and I want and deserve that and more... it's like, why??

I think Nadia is a way cooler person, but like others said, also being immature. It could have worked out with this solid guy but then only gets butterflies with f*ckboys-- even having gone through a similar thing last season.

I wasn't crazy about the girl from NY who ended up finding the dancing doctor in Miami on her own... but I do think what she and even Viral (not of fan) said about what they bring to the table is a fair point.... I am single (divorced) in my early 40s, and I'm on the apps, and I feel like men really expect to have everything... an educated, good looking, successful, family-oriented woman (with looks being SO FAR the most important thing to a man, even for marriage, it is ridiculous) -- even if they aren't at the same level in those attributes. Even if they are very average looking.

Sima Auntie is much easier on the guys who think a girl is not hot enough for them. She'll attribute that mismatch to chemistry, but if it's the other way around, the women are picky and unreasonable. I find that she, and people in general, think single women should settle and be damn grateful. I really think there are a lot more women than men (at least at my old age!), that are catches. Making it very difficult for women.

+1. Totally agree with you on the Miami guy and I think his mom (and really his whole family) is delusional. Her son doesn’t want a girl like her, he wants someone hot in the conventional Indian sense. He loves and respects his mom only bc she’s his mom. If he met someone who looked like her he would reject them outright and deem them ugly. He basically hates himself.

He was the worst, most shallow person in the series. And such an unattractive schlub, no less, hardly a model of fitness himself. It was satisfying to watch the hot nurse convey that to him pretty clearly though.

So, Sima has not made one successful match over two seasons. What is the point of her, anyway?

Arshneel is by far the most appealing person on this show. And I love the woman he dates.
yes, they seemed very well matched! She had such a peaceful sense about her.

He seemed very hesitant about her being native Indian, which was interesting to see. I'm not certain he was as interested in her as she was in him (I thought she was lovely), but I hope we'll find out in season 3.

I thought that was maybe a function of an awkward rookie season, but yes, crazily choppy again this season too. I don't get it either, and find it annoying.

Shital was the second most shallow but at least she has the looks "goods" to back it up. I hope for her sake it works out with the hot guy she followed to Florida, seems pretty risky at 38.

She looks pretty okay with slathered on makeup and baggy clothes but you can tell she has bad skin and is not fit. Wouldn't matter if she had a great personality of course.

Indeed!

That part where she wouldn’t even say whether she was vegetarian or not was so weird.

I swore at one point she talked about “crushing” her book goals.

For many Indians that's a dealbreaker and she didn't want to be immediately ruled out.

But she would have ruled him out asap if it was important to her, which what makes it so funny.
