Er, ok.

I guess you're in for a surprise, then.

Ha ha, good one. As if the Trump DOJ is impartial in assessing the president’s corruption. Esp not with Barr in charge.

FWIW (nothing)

"One Republican senator told me if it was a secret vote, 30 Republican senators would vote to impeach Trump."

– Mike Murphy, fmr. senior adviser to Mitt Romney and John McCain

They probably hate Trump even more than the Democrats do, TBH

The best kind of stupid people.

Clearly he had some good notes from Giuliani's previous call/visit with another Uk in which Giuliani said you investigate or else. DT's call was just the pile-on.

Curious - both US and Uk recalled their ambassadors? What was going on?

Trump recalled our Ambassador because she wasn't in on the scam.

Yes! I have a tiny little hope that some will detach from Trump and make the right decision.

They won’t.

What very well could happen if there is an impeachment vote is that moderate Democrats will be punished by their constituents and the Dems could lose the House, with Trump remaining President and the GOP retaining control of the Senate. Lindsay Graham is not wrong about that. So be careful what you wish for.

I will stake everything I have that this will not happen. And Graham has usually been wrong since the start of his employment as the Trump spinner.

My R friends sure hate him. They are very vocal about it though.

Also:

Questions regarding the Trump Administration's hold-up of military aid was not a factor in their investigation at all, the official explained, saying they see that as more of a foreign policy issue.

DP. I think you shouldn't underestimate how much his fellow Republicans hate him. If the full complaint and whatever else that comes out is bad enough, they'd welcome the opportunity to get rid of him. He is taking their party down for a generation, and they know it.

This seems like wishful thinking. They hate him but they are using him.

Using him for what? Using him to lose the House and possibly the Senate?

So far

They lost the House.

But in return, they have

A tax cut for billionaires
Massive deregulation
Dismantling federal agencies from the inside
2 Supreme Court Justices
Tons of conservative federal judges
And they got to keep the Senate in 2018!

Not a bad return on investment, in Trump. And they can always count on cheating, voter suppression, culture wars, and otherwise manipulating the rubes to keep them in the game.

Your list missed the most important thing he gives them:
-apoplectic Democrats that insist on self-destruction

Trump sounds drugged in this presser (for a change)

But even more low energy than usual

Just as creepy and angry as usual tho

Yes, that self-destruction that led to taking back the House

And, of course, this is fake news.
Lead reporter on that piece (Greg Miller) was also lead reporter on story that Trump made a "promise" in the Zelensky call, which also is not true.
Maybe if he keeps trying, he might get something right.

“At no time have I considered resigning my position since assuming this role on Aug. 16, 2019. I have never quit anything in my life, and I am not going to start now.
I am committed to leading the Intelligence Community to address the diverse and complex threats facing our nation.”
