Looks like the Crabs are affiliated with it, not VLC.

(sigh) You obviously don't have any personal knowledge of VLC. VLC and the Crabs are owned by the same organization, but for practical purposes have nothing to do with each other. Different kids, coached in different places, by different coaches. VLC is not pushing this NLF thing, and VLC staff has never even mentioned it.

As much VLC talks about being part of Crabs, a founder member of NLF - hardly any VLC/Crabs team participate in NLF fall/summer events. maybe things will change but seems like Crabs already hosts Crabfeast and Young Gunz in summer for HS/youth teams w/ reciprocal attendance w/ HHH.. etc.

Ok, looks like Crabs 2025 and older do NLF finals.

I am sure some VLC kids along with Madlax DCE and Next Level and even some Blackwolf or Cavalier players will try out of the NLF team

More opportunity for kids to get some notice, UA's events have great talent but the selection biased by private school coaches wanting their players represented.

More than likely its another money grab so you can say your kid is a "Elite Super All Star Invitational Select Prime Prospect" player, which can be shortened down to "My Parents Paid Another $285"

If you look at the teams that are affiliated with NLF, then you easily see that VLC is not in their league. It would be unfair to VLC, and a poor decision by VLC staff, to have VLC to show up to tournaments just to provide cannon fodder for much better teams.

The National team is not a tournament. However VLC has beaten this past summer several of the NLF teams already and the teams in the fall event. They would be a .500 team and will do these events. Besides the goal in many of these events is showcasing talent.

Which VLC team did that?

2023 beat HHH Eclipse edge and Brotherly Love and lost to Leading Edge by one goal. They would have done well at the fall NLF event.
