Question: Did she shoot off the rifle to call for help because of her blood loss? I have never had a baby, but that was an alarming amount of blood during labor.

I think she just needed help. I do think they went overboard with the blood but this show likes it's dramatic visuals especially with color so I think it was for that purpose. She didn't seem in trouble after the baby was born.

I wonder who picks her up. I'm hoping it's a Canadian.

Son’t Want to post spoilers about Episode 12 (which I watched at midnight :wink. So I’ll just leave this here:

Eden. Woah.

That last scene with June and Serena. And what do you think the Bradley Whitford character is up to? The sneak peek for the next episode seems to show Serena being arrested. Wow.

Am I the only one who finds this series a bit blasphemous?
Biblical handmaidens were not surrogates, they remained with the family and had been part of it all their lives

If you think any aspect of this has ANY legitimacy, you are as bad a poor, stupid, ignorant, deluded Eden.

Please don’t bring your religion over here.

I finally started to like Eden. I’m really happy she stuck to her guns.

Next week will be wonderful. Too bad it’s the finale.

Maybe Gilead is his social experiment? This could be the base of the resistance.

About Serena being arrested, it occurred to me he could then have Offred and the baby all to himself. Presuming Nick wouldn’t interfere.

He doesn’t seem sympathetic to Gilead’s treatment of women. The mouthy Martha made me laugh—clearly she lost an eye for being defiant in some way and he took her in. My guess is yes, something now to do with the resistance.

I think Gilead could be his intellectual experiment, but I wouldn’t necessarily count on him being in the resistance.

She made me laugh too. Which is remarkable - something like 20 hours of television in this series and it’s the only time I’ve ever laughed or even smiled.

I’m dying to know what’s up now that Bradley Whitford is in it!

Not necessarily that he’s pro-resistance, but sparking the resistance is part of the experiment. He’s the base of the evil. Taking in the disgraced Martha’s and Handmaid’s gives him a first hand account of the results of his actions. Almost as though he’s so smart, he’s crazy evil. A true sociopath, with intellect.

That's who he was! His voice sounded so familiar but he looked so different!
