Common baby names you dislike

I happen to LOVE some of the current common names, as long as they are not too cutesy.

PP, funny about ex's penises - mine was "Joe". Perhaps this should be a different thread?

I agree with the PP on the K names. One of my facebook friend's used Khloe - what is she, a Kardashian? And then Jewel named her baby Kase - seriously? Stop the insanity.

You're kidding. Jewel Kase like the thing CD's come in.

haha - I hadn't thought of that. That isn't the combo, as HER name is Jewel and the BABY is named Kase, but putting their names together is pretty funny. I just object to the odd use of K in the place of C.

All boy names, all born within the past 36 months in the metro area. All make me cry for these poor boys.

This. Add Jayden, Brayden, Ian and Aiden. ugh

I think Maggie is cute

For a canine.

Margaret is my daughter's name (after my mother). I've heard countless times "oh, that's my dog's name". I have a friend whose son is Max and hears the same thing.

I just hate the ones that defy the rules of academic pronunciation. Like naming a child Case and telling everyone to pronounce it Ca-shay or some other nonsense variation.

I have a Jack and don't find it offensive that some people dislike it. We didn't name him for other people!

I've always loved Jill but I can't have a Jack and Jill.

I also have a Jack and love the name Jill. If I had a girl, I'd be very tempted to name her Jill
