Common baby names you dislike

I'm sick of the "-en's" and most girls' names ending in an "-a." (emma, ella, sophia, isabella...) Just so many of them. And I say that as someone who shared my name with 6 classmates growing up.

I've got a Henry. He's named after my grandfather, who, like most German Americans, anglo-cized his name after WWI. Heinrich Johan didn't have quite the same appeal then. Other side of my family is Irish and Aloysius just doesn't go with my husband's Slavic last name.

All the -aydens (the original, Aiden, is fine) Brayden, Cayden, Jayden, etc.

All the -addisons - Madison, Addison, etc.

Kristin/Kirstin/Kierstin, Allison/Alison/Allyson, Lindsey/Lindsay - just too freaking complicated with the different spellings. If you're going to use one, research what the common spelling is and use it.

Any name with current 'celebrity/trendy' origins - all the Merediths and Addisons once Grey's Anatomy became popular, etc. Basically, if a name is in the top 50, take a pass on it unless you're using it for sentimental/family reasons that have nothing to do with the trendy ones, and know that your kid will be one of 6 in its class with that name. Do not give your kid a 'creative' spelling to compensate for that.

I know someone with a child named Kohl. They liked "Cole" but wanted the special-snowflake spelling. Too bad they didn't google beforehand. I mean, a department store and an eye makeup product. Really?
