Oh FFS. This is so much bigger than Jan 6. Read their testimony. It’s not like the FBI has never misused their power. Read some history. |
The FBI always misuses its power to favor the right-wing and target the left. These guys thought they worked for J Edgar Hoover and their side was exempt from consequences for biased enforcement. |
it really isn't bigger. Wake up and smell the coffee. |
Way bigger. Part of the testimony: (and what we are learning about the FBI using warrantless searches on Americans confirms much of this) The FBI is incentivized to work against the American people and in dire need of drastic reform, particularly in these areas: The Integrated Program Management system incentivizes the use of inappropriate investigatory processes and tools to achieve arbitrary statistical accomplishments. Mission creep within the National Security Branch has refocused counterterrorism from legitimate foreign actors to political opponents within our borders. The FBI weaponizes process crimes and reinterprets laws to initiate pretextual prosecutions and persecute its political enemies. Bureau intelligence analysis capability increasingly dictates operations, turning the FBI into an intelligence agency with a law enforcement capability. FBI collusion with Big Tech to gather intelligence on Americans, censor political speech, and target citizens for malicious prosecution. A dysfunctional promotion process fosters a revolving door of inexperienced, ambitious FBI supervisors ascending the management ladder within the agency. FBI informant protocols that are broken and abusive. The FBI skirts the Whistleblower Protection Act and exploits the security clearance revocation process to expel employees who make legally protected disclosures. |
You had no problem with the FBI investigative practices when Hillary was the subject for the better part of the 1990's to 2016. |
In other words: The "whistleblower" is upset that FBI is being pressed to investigate right wing extremism and domestic terrorism. |
I find it amusing how dcum is protecting an agency of the federal government. I will concede that confidential human sources are different than gmen, but why did they place 12 into a handful of Michigan fringe group who wanted to kidnap the governor? Source isn't a right wing conspiracy group like GP
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/jessicagarrison/fbi-informants-in-michigan-kidnap-plot The problem with conspiracy theories is they eventually come true. |
Citing a defense motion alleging… |
You're "conceding" but you need to do even more conceding. FBI didn't "place" agents into that Michigan nutjob group that wanted to kidnap the governor. That group was entirely home grown, their extremism and plot was entirely their own. What happened is that a few of them started to become so concerned about the extremism of some of their fellow members that they dropped a dime to the FBI about it. |
