Ok. No one is proposing to do that.

Manufactured issue.

It’s in a video specifically linked on the nj.gov education resource website for educational standards.

What age/grade level do you think is appropriate to learn about “flicking the bean” in school?

Upper HS.

Mid terms is going to be lit.

Omg!!! Sexually actively teens learned about masturbation. Better throw democracy out the window.

You people are disgusting.

I dont believe that a vote for the GOP threatens democracy. But the left does, and yet they still choose to aggressively pursue literally talking to school children about masterbation and porn, which is far out of mainstream values for both democrats and republicans. If you believe that the GOP is a threat to democracy, why are you advocating that voters choose between that and having our children subject to perverts at schools? Why not just like, back off that plan?

1) the GOP has been actively trying to overthrow election results. ??

2) It’s 2022. People masturbate. It’s a totally normal thing for teens (and adults) to do. Talking about it to 11th/12th graders is fine. Teaching them how to be safe online is also important. It’s also important to talk to them about sxx, contraception, consent, diseases, etc.

The pp has clarified that yes, that is the correct age to have state sanctioned corruption of a minor. And that we should accept this or democracy will die. There is, apparently, no rational middle ground of democracy and keeping sex ed at status quo.

It’s fine to talk to 11th/12th graders about masturbation. What’s wrong with that? It’s a normal, healthy thing to do. I’d rather have my kids masturbating than having intercourse.

Parents have always been able to opt their kids out of sex ed.

Masturbation is not “corruption of a minor”. JFC.

Backwards prudes can always opt their kids out of normal, healthy sex ed.

1) elections are sometimes contested. It's not a violation to ask for a recount or seek remedy in the courts. Thats actually part of the process.

2) your view that classrooms should have instruction on masterbation is far outside of mainstream. Its a democracy, so people's voices will be heard.

1) Republicans went way beyond legal and ethical boundaries of contesting an election. Haven’t you been paying attention?

2) NJ and each school district in NJ will decide what is appropriate for their community. You don’t get a say. Teaching sex ed - including masturbation- to 17/18 year olds is totally mainstream. You can opt your own kids out.

1) yes, i pay attention. Until I see an indictment of a senior GOP member for a crime related to contesting the election, I dont think we can say they "went way beyond legal boundaries.

2) even NJ has backed off this content. So you're now advocating for something that is under review and very unlikely to go forward. Go research polls about the mainstream view on this. And its a negative for the community because sex ed is a critical topic and a lot of parents will pull their kids from it if the far left succeeds in adding porn, etc to standard sex ed classes.

1) They certainly went beyond ethical boundaries. Investigation still underway re:legality. This all goes way beyond “contesting” the election. You are really going to try to call these actions “part of the process”?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2022/election-overturn-plans/

2) Talking about masturbation - or even sex itself - is age appropriate for upper HS. The “lessons” that were being discussed were the ones around gender identity for early elementary. Different resource from a different provider.

And again any parent can opt out of sex ed.

You’re delusional if you think it is mainstream for schools to teach kids about masturbation and porn. Schools generally stick to the basics like pregnancy, STD’s, relationships, consent etc. It totally crosses the line for a school to discuss those topics and it’s disturbing you can’t see why that’s the case.

Masturbation should be taught as an option, especially if schools teach abstinence only. It makes sense. Why would anyone oppose it?

Why are you okay with schools teaching about relationships? Isn’t that a subjective topic? What if the teacher is divorced? Promiscuous? Gay? Polyamorous? What if their own ideas bleed into the way they teach about relationships? Are schools supposed to teach kids morals about sex and relationships? Marriage only?

If these schools take federal dollars, yes, the PP does get a say, because PP is paying for it.
