It's amazing how quickly VDA deletes posts. Can't stand the truth. In any case, word of mouth is far more powerful in the business world and that can’t be deleted.

Any coach, any sport, any league in the world is under same scrutiny. Either you win every game, or "something is wrong with you". You can never prove he is the reason a team lost and he can't prove he's the reason they won. His "great team" is winning... therefore, he's doing *literally* his job exactly as he should. He didn't take a super-team and tank them to mid-level, they are dominating. So, as for other teams, what do you expect? Every age group to be #1? I'm sorry... did I miss the ECNL webpage where one club has a #1 team in every age..? Darn. So, it would seem that you're DD is either playing all the time, exactly where she should, or you're gonna cry. There is zero harm to anyone. Girls are going to college. The best team in the area continues to show it. The teams only gained girls and those that left did so at their free will. Children, not pros. The coaches are doing exactly as they should. Sorry you had a bad experience, but watch out for VDA to continue to rise rise rise

You're a complete moron. You are not a good coach just because one team in a club is performing well. And that's the crux of your problem: you believe that having one good team out of a whole club qualifies you as a great coach, it doesn't. That's exactly what happened at BRYC; yes, the 03 were excellent, but all of the other teams were destroyed. Girls were made to feel bad and told they were worthless, leaving us with nothing to rebuild on. Grow up and become a better coach, recognizing the genuine talent you have in the whole team, and stop pushing the girls away and start mentoring them how to play as a team.

Okay, Enough! MW wasn’t to blame for this weekends ass beating. We where missing our goalie which made a huge difference, We only had 2 subs for 2 away games. Our coach did the best he could with what we had and so did the girls. Both teams against us that we played had a total of probably 15 shots on goal the entire weekend, 9 of those goals went in, unfortunately. 5 set piece goals with 2 own goals during those set pieces. The goalies and players played there hearts out but it’s a huge issue when your goalie is out and you only have 2 subs. Stop bashing and trying to make him feel bad for things out of his control. We had our chances we had 25-35 shots on goal for the weekend compared to there 15. It just wasn’t there weekend. It happens, God you people need to get a life.

Okay, Enough! ? Who the He🏒🏒 do you think you are? We are all adults here. This is the problem with youth soccer. Parents finally have a forum where they feel like they can speak their truth and not be bullied to stay quiet. VDA has had a problem for years silencing the parents when they speak. If a parent comes forward they are either silenced with their kid getting playing time or silenced by being forced out of the club.

DCURBAN mom ? More like VDA urban coach. A whole Topic deleted last night because a VDA coach had their feelings hurt. Wonder how many players have had their feelings hurt because a coach yelled and humiliated them in front of their mates? The player seems to have bigger pants than these coaches, because they show up the next day to prove to the coach they were wrong.

It doesn't matter where "he" coaches, you know he'll lead the league in tears shed and threads and posts removed ---- poor little boy, still can't take the criticism.

BP does it too when FCV is shamed. It's a weird personality thing not a VDA thing.

Every time VDA is criticized someone has to say “FCV TOO”.

Do all the film watching you want but a good coach and good players can also adjust the strategy on the fly based on how the other team actually is playing, if the strategy you are trying isn't working well.

Are all opponents' game film available? Is this common? Film dissection also doesn't mean the person is a good game day coach and vice versa. Just as a good trainer doesn't mean that person is a good game day manager etc.

Thanks for the details and hopefully some poor parents can understand a coach is a piece, not the whole pie.

Yes, we know coach. Our kids will keep you employed. Be grateful.

Even so, you have to admit that the trainings need to improve. We should spend the entire week practicing how we will play in the games. You can't have soft practices where you don't practice how you'll play and then switch positions at the last minute, especially if your goalie is out. Work on your technique with the subs. There was no game film, no learning, only crappy practices. When you don't, you're setting the players up for failure, which he does all the time. It’s an easy fix, I just think it’s laziness on the coaches.

Cant be a VDA parent, you would know 1/3 of the team was out this week sick. 13/21 players travelled for the matches due to illness and college visits.

Spoken like a true VDA parent - tons of excuses when they lose, tons of bragging when they win

GA has no competition. Why do people compare their wins and losses to ECNL? GA is a recreational league? Let’s not compare recruiting styles, Players can be recruited as walk-ons by any coach. Watch and see, the clout of those players going to top D1 universities will wear off, and they will either sit the bench and most won’t ever even touch the practice field. BP uses those kids to sell a program, and their parents let him do it to massage their egos. Just as long they'll be attending a top D1 school, who cares, right? VDA will recruit all of their players, and they will all play for D1 programs. Perhaps one of the class's recruits from GA will get a chance to play, but chances are they'll have to get used to cheering on their teammates from afar because the majority of them will never dress out or see a game field, sadly.

Virginia ECNL girls club records a/o 10/18/21. Richmond far and away the top. You could put a blanket over VDA/Union/Loudoun all grouped together. Arlington has played less games but under .500 aggregate record and Braddock clearly struggling.

Richmond 24-4-6 PPG 2.29
VDA 23-17-8 PPG 1.60
McLean 20-16-9 PPG 1.53
Loudoun 21-18-9 PPG 1.50
Arlington 15-19-6 PPG 1.275
BRYC 5-36-4 PPG 0.35

What is with the “SCARED” talk? VDA parents acting like the girls are gonna get in a brawl or something when they meet.
Calm down man, there’s football and postseason baseball on TV save the testosterone talk for that!

How unprofessional……and he’s the director of your club. Sounds like both parents and coach need to grow-up.
