No trying to troll, but OP said "top ranked" which I assume OP is defining by wins/losses and where they might stand on the two rankings methodologies often cited on this board. That would then excuse BRYC from the options for OP's DD despite their ability to get player recruited (whether that's into college or to other clubs when they are older... and subsequently into college... e.g. VDA's top U19 player this year who won Gatorade POY while with BRYC before switching to VDA for her last season). Given clubs' track records of recruiting over existing players every year, OP, I'd shy away from trying to move your DD to one of these "top ranked" clubs so soon, because there is a good chance she will get recruited over in a few years as her club tries to bring in better players (because other clubs did a better job of developing players than your DD's club actuall will/could). Maybe McLean is a good middle of the road option for your DD. Might not get recruited over but might be part of a 30-player pool for an 18-person roster. But still may be able to get a chance to play in college regardless. |
Provide your insight into Loudoun and their success. Soccer wise please. We don’t care about how they make money… 🐸☕️ |
But according to another post VDA replaced many of the senior players with players from another club. How does it reflect their individual dev program or strong feeder pools? |
The ECNL is supposed to be the top players in the country, what would it say about a club if they said no to higher level players. |
HUUUUUUUGE rec program and huge player pool. Loudoun used to lose top players to FCV because FCV had ECNL. Once Loudoun was added to ECNL their younger age group retention has increased exponentially. These were players FCV relied on over the years to round out their player pool. GA just isn't a draw for most Loudoun players anymore. FCV coaching is better than Loudoun but the talent pool is decidedly deeper and getting deeper at Loudoun. |
No you are not new to this forum.
I doubt it. |
What a stupid response. |
It says that top players are moving to ECNL clubs and that nobody's spot is guaranteed. |
This is not true. |
Dude….they added 5 outside players to a combined age group team of 20 plus. At some point you should move along with the narrative. |
Thank you for the response. I really do care about the player pool, only coaching and which coaches are linked up with college coaches and help with recruitment. |
True, and interesting. |
I am a firm believer that anyone is replaceable, so if you are at a top club and better players move in, so be it. Players need to know everyone is replaceable and work for their position. |
1. Have one of the ECNL clubs evaluated her, is she good enough 2. Good players get recruited no matter what ECNL/Ga club they play at 3. Pick somewhere local |
You have some difficulties that need to be looked into. Anyone who believes they know everyone on an anonymous forum requires assistance. |
