NP. I think it's funny. You love your spouse, then you have kids and you know that you'd do anything to protect them, even use your spouse (who is still your favorite person!) as a human shield. For me, it's the image it conjures of grabbing the unassuming spouse that makes it funny (and just the fact that I relate to that profound transition from person to protector).

It’s just a dumb thing to say, and they have a history of doing dumb things like marrying at a plantation and going scorched earth on someone. He is not Donald trump and can’t act with complete impunity and come out a winner, though he would love to.

I wonder how someone like Scarlett Johansson married him, but she was young so there’s that.

I’m tired of the Blake defenders online equating this with domestic violence and using that same language. And the comparisons to Amber heard just need to stop. Not only was that power imbalance totally different, but that was a domestic abuse situation years in the making between a married couple.

This was an eight week shoot. Yes I realize they had some interaction during preproduction, but there was a lot going on other than Blake and Justin. There were a lot of moving parts to this film, and there was a whole other story of young lily and young atlas where Blake wasn’t even on set.

The whole justifying her lying about certain things, like feeling uncomfortable that the finance officer was around for an intimate scene when turns out he wasn’t even on set that day, and people saying well victims memories get distorted!

This was not months and months of interactions and abuse. I just don’t even know when Justin would’ve had time to unleash all this psychological abuse.
