Why is Blake Lively so overrated?

Everyone has been obsessed with her since Gossip Girl.

I think she has a weird looking face and is such a bad actress.

No idea why the media is trying to make her happen.

I don’t see the media trying to make her happen. She has already happened as you know who she is. I see them more so fawning over her relationship with Ryan Reynolds. She is stylish and carries herself well...that is enough to make her semi popular. She’s not the worst actress and is decent in the roles she chooses. I personally think she is pretty, in that blonde beach Cali look that is popular.

I plan to see her new movie as I have no issues with her.

Knowing what we know now, who knows what this was about back then, but she was known as one of "Harvey's girls." He had select actresses he would push into the spotlight and who would get A-list exposure without a lot to back it up. There were some pretty bad pics that have now been scrubbed. As far as I know she has never said anything about being one of his victims or addressed her relationship with him, but that's how she got her push to fame.

That makes so much sense considering all of her movies since Gossip Girl have been major flops yet she's still landing roles and showing up in gossip rags. Never understood what all the rage was about her anyways. She wasn't even that good in Gossip Girl and that was her biggest role!
