Much like the Arlington FAQ the Albion update was provided by a club to update and inform parents. This is different that a screenshot posted to reddit with no real details and names painted out with what looked like the same brush as other proven fakes from 6 months ago. Next time try harder. |
That ‘brush’ is literally a standard image editing tool on an iPhone. There is nothing about it that is fake. If you had even an ounce of inside info you would know that the screenshot was legit. I can’t speak to those earlier ones (never even saw them). |
There were 2 documents/screenshots that were proven to be fake and looked exactly like this one. The chances are pretty good that this one was faked as well. Kind of interesting that everyone else has moved on accepting that it was faked but you. |

The only thing I find interesting is that there is no mention of mlsn1.
Is it surprising at all that mlsn2 is moving to SY? Did they have a choice? |
|
At some clubs, MLS2 (Academy Division) is the highest level team. This is why there is no MLS1 (Homegrown Division) mention.
If true, this is a significant leak. Not sure how MLS as an org can justify/sell MLS2 going SY and MLS1 staying BY. |
Unless MLSN1 plays up when they play MLSN2. |
| MLSN1 could make it work as long as they keep their top spot, because they draw kids from all leagues, even the sorta rival ones. |
| So it’s agreed 99% of youth soccer will be Aug 1 starting in 26/27. Now we can let this thread die… |
P2P MLS1 needs to go to SY, otherwise it is much harder to sell MLS2 to new clubs and trick parents into this MLS2 scam. |
| Not reading all the pages so sorry if this was covered. Daughter is a HS freshman with a late September birthday. We plan to continue playing with kids in her grade. She’ll be a sophomore next year and entering into the crucial recruiting years. What would be the benefit of playing a grade level down? Not trolling. Legit question. |
Your assessment is completely correct. The ECNL hats refuse to face 2nd tier reality. Its probabaly girl dad's commenting about something they dont understand. |
It all depends on if shes a young or old for her grade Sept birthday and when her schools cutoff date is. Ultimately if she wants to play in college she'll need to play on a team/level thats predominantly her grade in school. |
Also depends how strong each potential team and club is. A not-so great team at grade level might not help her exposure if the younger team is more accomplished. If you need to move clubs, you may have more leverage joining a younger team, especially with the BY/SY transition. But really you shouldn't be asking an anonymous thread. You should be talking to your current coach/DOC as well as people in similar roles at other clubs she may play at. Finally, ASK the college coaches what they think and what matters most. People here are engaged in an online urinating contest. |
