Completely correct you just dont like reality.

This will age poorly

There is a 0% chance at this point that they come out and say "Hey y'all, sorry for the radio silence for months (for no reason), but we're not changing anything". I'm not saying they go 100% SY across the board, but clearly they are working out some changes and shopping those changes around to select clubs for feedback.

MLSN to clubs: How do you feel about maintaining two different registration systems and having additional and unnecessary administrative, recruiting, and team selection headaches, as well as one more area of needing to constantly explain all this to parents?

Clubs: Sounds great!

Well you see, since they are sending all of these kids to the pros and to international tournaments, the clubs actually love it! No sarcasm here AT ALL.

Great point! I forgot that p2p clubs actually get the revenue once each kid inevitably signs professionally.

MLS Next Development Grant program
https://www.soccerwire.com/news/mls-begins-compensating-youth-clubs-via-mls-next-development-grant-program/
At about $10,000 for each club for a couple of kids each year in the entire country, only the gullible think this a program worth mentioning. Marketing rubbish.

Yea but ECNL pays nothing
A one in 50 chance for a club with revenue of $5 million plus a year isnt even coach tip money.

Yea but ECNL pays nothing

Its easy to address with money coming out of your ears from the MLS association.

Also, MLSN is top dog times 1000. These clubs should be so lucky that MLSN has blessed them to be a part of their prestigious league. Without MLSN it is fair to say that the quality of youth soccer would be far less in this country! All you need to do is watch one match on YouTube and compare it to the same age in ECNL and totally different!!! MLSN quality will continue to grow exponentially and nothing, I mean nothing, can stop it. You really think MLSN will lose players born after July if they stay BY? No way in hell, not one will defect to ECNL. It saddens me to no end when I see people write stuff like that because they are obviously blind.

Your ridiculous sarcasm aside, the move to SY for ECNL could allow them to overtake MLSN, assuming they stay BY. Otherwise MLSN keeps the slight edge. Btw, plenty of ECNL teams have beaten MLSN teams and will continue to do so. Too much regional and year to year variability amongst US youth soccer clubs.

Yea but ECNL pays nothing
ECNL isn't trying to block solidarity payments to clubs like MLSN is and has gone to court over. And solidarity payments can be real bucks unlike MLS' pathetic grant money.

But you do understand that ECNL pays nothing. Coreect? No matter how you try to frame it MLS is paying clhbs for development of pro players while ECNL plays nothing.

Yes ! Obviously as a a pro pathway organization they must trickle down the club benefits as they are doing the bulk of the development. ECNL is NOT a pro pathway and I think we all agree on that MLsN is the only bonafide pathway to pro and the proof is in the pudding my friends! I cannot tell you how many parents I’ve talked to the past few years that their kids are being told they will pretty much almost sort of kinda maybe will be offered a professional contract at some point.

MLS doesn't pay anything either but it is worse. MLS steals the solidarity payment that is supposed to be paid to the club and then trickles a small fraction back to the club. ECNL doesn't steal the solidarity payment. If you were a club you would choose to cut out the middle man stealing your money every time, meaning you would prefer what ECNL does over MLS.
