What are you talking about? |
Yeah, it's how it works. Top teams over indexed on older players and under indexed on younger players. Like is was and like it will be. Remember, they are making this change for reasons not to sit around and ignore it. |
| All this is pointless. MLSN is the premier league and the only one that matters. They will stay BY because they can and must to preserve international play. Their new MLSN tier 2 will take over the entire landscape and everyone will be clamming to tryout come u13, regardless of the age cutoff. You really think people are going to choose ECNL over MLSN you are crazy. We are talking about a professional league here. |
There will always be people that choose to play on a lower tier. ECNL isnt going anywhere. |
But ECNL is so much lower than MLSN . Go on YouTube and watch matches of both leagues. My god! The difference is astounding! One is clearly pro-bound and the other is not. We really need MLSN1 through MLSN6 so we can cover the entire landscape . Also that way we can keep BY and the crazy MLSN guys kid won’t go from starter to bench

Oh my god, your words are so insightful, I’m really thrilled … I couldn’t help some tears rolling down my cheeks 😭 Thanks a lot for your inspiring words! 🤗 |
"For B team players you need to be standout and willing to change clubs if you want to play on an A team." There will be a ton more than usual of this type of player during tryout season. They'll still need to change clubs though. |
|
So originally my clubs director (ECNL) said they would mostly not be changing for the older U17/19 teams. But was revealed yesterday that the club plans on doing full changes for all age groups and was told ECNL is pushing for its clubs to go for a complete switch outside of national team level players.
I won’t say the club but the U16 team and 17 are top 10 nationally ranked. |

My kid is 2013 trapped player and midfielder on ECNL team. We looked at the 2012 ECNL and they have 5 midfielders moving down tp 2013. Easy choice that we are also moving down.
Its will be a blood bath for all of our kids wanting to stay on the roster in the midfield...... yikes. We have some great kids on our team but they just arent better than the ones coming down and everyone knows it. Not sure if they change clubs or take B team spots or try for a new position. |
