| It's true--got the text from DCPS. For an inch of snow?? It had better be some thick blanking snow. |

Do you remember January 6th? I do. It was a light snowfall at the height of rush hour. My son, an 8th grader in DCPS, had to get off the metro bus on Porter because it couldn't get up the hill. He ended up walking to Georgetown. Luckily he used his teen brain for good that morning and put on snow pants and boots. This storm has the potential to be very similar to January. If it isn't, then fine. After what happened on Jan 6, I'd rather err on the side of caution. |
| And they announced before any suburban school district did. That has to be a first! I'm sure the timing of the snowfall during the morning rush is a genuine concern, not just for students but also for teachers trying to get to school. |
| What a joke! We may get a dusting or nothing. This should be called in the morning. I'd have to say just about every call since Bowser has been wrong - either overestimated or underestimated. |
All you stoners have a few extra hours of resting time
