| I think it's a good call. |
I'll wait to see my if the jokes on you!! |
| Given that the snow is expected to hit in the 5-8 am range, I think it would be hard to call it in the morning. Sometimes they have to trust their gut. DCPS calls a delay so infrequently that I have to give them the benefit of the doubt. |
| No, it's not about the gut. The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight should have waited to make the call around 5 AM. DC will be lucky to get more than an inch of accumulation. |
| Calling it the night before means that they have to make an educated guess, but it also means that people who need it have at least some notice to arrange childcare. |
finna get crunk |
| Hilarious. |
| 2 hour delay on fleek |
| Completely agree with 23:44. And it DOES come down to gut instincts (my words in an earlier post) and educated guesses. DCPS hardly ever closes or delays for weather. It seems like a prudent decision to me, and it's obviously one they don't make lightly. We'll all know tomorrow whether it was the right call, but I'm grateful they made it tonight. Wouldn't want to be in their shoes, with all of these armchair quarterbacks telling them what they should do minute by minute. |

Yes, parents. You now need to revisit the difference between school and daycare. One exists to educate your child and the other exists so you can attend work/outside events.
|
| ^^^ Huh? |
| Ditto 23:44. |
NP here. Still think it was a bad call? All you Bowser bashers should give the lady a break. She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't; and she's been in office for less than 2 months. Don't we all want a better District of Columbia? |
Not a Browser fan, but she made a good call based on weather projection and better to be early than late. As for now, wish they would just go ahead and bite the bullet and close for the day. |
| She doesn't seem to plow or salt. |
