My kid is also in with similar stats but no aid. Did you apply or was it offered by the school to "lure" your kid.

Thanks, I really don’t know how they discern who they offer $ to... if it helps, he is Asian.

So many deferrals this year. It will be interesting to see how many turn into acceptances in the spring.

I think the deferrals for Northeastern are inevitable. It is increasingly becoming the hot school for a broad range of profiles. So interesting to see.

^^^Could you elaborate on the types of students for whom Northeastern is becoming a hot school? I’m aware of their co-op program. And it seems they give merit aid for high stats. What other groups are drawn to this school?

Not sure it’s a NEU-specific thing. It’s a slaughterhouse all over.

See above. There are some top scores at the school. There is an OP from another thread who has a problem with this (looks like a frenemy attended NU, and that OP has a chip on her shoulder about it).

Villanova out. Unsurprisingly, rejected (this was a far reach). Kid has now been deferred at 7, rejected at 1, accepted at none. Just got mid-year grades and did horribly. So probably not going to college next year.
