2021 VA Governors race

January 6th was an affront to our republic, but it’s the local Democrats who made parents’ lives miserable for a solid year and pander incessantly to groups who’d confiscate the savings of families if they could to further their radical agenda.

It is unbelievable to me that you equate virtual learning during a pandemic to a violent attack on the seat of our democracy.

Republicans are against democracy. A vote for a Republican is a vote against our democracy. Beyond trump and the national Republicans whitewashing the national 1/6 attack, you have Republican led states conducting “audits” of a legitimate election and passing laws that allow legislators to overrule county election officials’ vote counts.

And you have Democrats driving youths to suicide and depression to placate teachers’ unions and actively planning to tax and redistribute the wealth of Americans to ingratiate themselves with voters who blame others for every hardship they’ve ever encountered.

Got it, so your money is more important than our country’s democracy.

The Democrats made parents’ lives miserable? Not the pandemic? You make it sound like the purposefully wanted to ruin your life. And for what? It clearly wasn’t a very popular choice.

Meanwhile Terry’s kid graduates from a private secondary school this weekend…such a man of the people.

No thanks. We’ve had enough of his hypocrisy already.

Youngkin is a rich boy who went to private schools who is pretending to be a man of the people.

So, he is not allowed to use his money as he pleases? I thought that was the way conservatives intended for the rich.

He did a lot of good things for people while he was Governor. Some people with money are capable of caring about those of lower SES than them.

Terry was not in office while his kids were in private school.

He was in office when VEDP hired Stephen Moret and endorsed him- and Moret got us Amazon HQ2. And if you want to tell the state we shouldn’t have an economic tech boom, you should vote against Terry in the primary.

The tech boom in nova will help rural regions as part of the bid was to expand tech teaching the rest of the state. Some of you probably won’t like that- but your kids and grandkids will.

I’m for Terry. I’m gonna be honest- I like what he did and I’m happy to vote him back in.

McAulliffe v Youngkin doesn't seem very inspiring for anyone. Could be record low turnout.

Terry is perfectly in step with Biden Democrats. VA thrived under Terry and nova loves Biden. Terry is still perceived as pro-tech and pro-business, I guess. Some parents may be somewhat worried about what is going on with public education (math, equity, TJ, and the like), and how it will impact their kids' prospects in life, but their burning hatred of all things Republican will prevail. The notion that Youngkin can win is pure fantasy. It's not happening.

Terry wants to do “good things” with other people’s money without any impact on the privileges his own pampered children have. It’s the only way he knows how to get votes.

You are describing McAuliffe when he first ran. Pay even a modicum of attention to his current campaign and it’s all about taxing the hell out of Virginians to redistribute resources. Let him sell his McLean mansion, donate his personal wealth. and move to Springfield or Petersburg if he’s really such a man of the people.

I’m a lifetime dem but will vote republican if the schools are not open 5 days a week by then. If APS teachers get their way that’s very likely since it will take years to have 14 days no new cases

How many times does it need to be said? Teachers do not call the shots or make policy decisions...not at APS, not anywhere. Stop blaming them.

What was the outcome of McAuliffe's FBI investigation?
