So in retaliation you get to steal a big screen t.v. from Target and torch a nearby apartment complex? Explain to me how this rights any wrongs? Answer: it doesn't. Two wrongs do not make a right. |
I don’t know you, MacKenzie, but I am guessing just about everything. |
I tried that. The change we got is so NOT the change that I want. Here's the other thing: if you're a member of a minority group in a majority/winner-takes-all society, voting is just one small step -- and it's often an ineffective one. I will always vote. Too many people died for my right to do so for me to willingly give that up. But I have no illusions about how far that vote is likely to take me in the direction of the changes that I want to see. |
| To all of you arguing that the looting and destruction of property was justified because the black community is tired, angry and oppressed, why don’t you invite them to loot your home or business? Because last I checked, the business owners didn’t have anything more to do with this man’s death than you did. So come on, put your money where your mouth is and let them have at it. |
It would be more like riot and loot their business plus torch their homes. |
You're obviously voting the wrong way. So is most of Minneapolis. |
You are unwittingly arguing that the looting and rioting are fruitless and serve no purpose. |
When the story first went viral, I think the vast majority of people only thought that a white and asian officer were involved. That explains why this case got so much attention. The justice warriors have a preference for white officers using excessive force on black people. This is why nobody takes them seriously. There are countless incidents involving white officers using excessive force on white people and they are largely ignored. |
Citation for your post. |
Not racist at all. Nope. No siree!!! /s |
The police "force" did nothing of the sort. Four officers were involved. Do you have any idea how many officers there are in Minneapolis? |
Bear in mind had bystanders not recorded this murder the entire police force would be insisting that the man died of a heart attack due to underlying medical conditions and that rumors of supposed police brutality were completely false. This is why people get so angry. Because believe it or not these abuses of power by law enforcement happen all the time and police forces always dismiss them as ridiculous allegations and they get away with those dismissals because THE COPS NEVER CONE OUT AND TELL YHE TRUTH. The only time these officers are ever held accountable for their abuses of authority is when there’s video evidence and even then most of the time they STILL GET OFF. This is why people get upset. |
Omg. Fock the TVs. Fock the windows. Fock Target. Those.do.not.matter. I’m disgusted by the vile racist scum that are more worried about a TV than a man who lost his life because of the color of his skin. WTF is wrong with you? Were your parents racist? |

Did any bystanders ever dial 911, or was it more important for each bystander to record the travesty, as they watched on? |
