Can someone provide a synopsis? What happened?

What happened? Slow and torturous execution in the broad day light in the middle of the city.
The ''policemen'' pressed his knee against the victim's neck until the victim passed out. They checked the pulse when the victim became limb, I believe there was no or very weak pulse when ambulance arrived.
The murderer clearly enjoyed what he was doing - there was no need to choke handcuffed face down on the ground suspect.

There was very good clue that the victim is dying - he urinated himself after been choked for some time (10 min?). It happens to sentenced to death by hanging people.

When a country built itself old the backs of Irish and Chinese under brutal conditions and very little respect, what do you expect? When a country is founded by swindling, killing and executing Natives to gain land, what can you expect in the future? Why are you surprised by this? Even when fruit grows large and seems healthy, that dose of poison it grew with is still at the heart of that fruit and it is rotten. This nation was created from rotten fruit and it will pay for those transgressions somehow, some way until the debt is settled.

Or, please. Look at the Duterte / NK / Central and South America police and African countries army and police force. The are worst than gangsters.
Every country was founded by killing some native population. You have no point here either.
The problem are sadists that look for positions of power. Just like pedophiles that often become teachers and charity workers in the 3rd world countries.

Just watched the video. That man was tortured to death by those cops. This is beyond outrageous.

I have always been anti-death penalty, but watching that, watching the same thing play out over and over again, my reaction is just visceral, George Floyd was tortured and murdered, by that animal who, appears to be posing for the cameras/crowds with hands in pockets, kneeled down on his man's neck, as though he had roped/hunted and killed some animal.

These beasts need to be thrown to the wolves. No mercy.

Cop has knee on neck of man. Man struggles to breathe, tells them he can't breathe, crowd pleads with cop to stop, man passes out, dies at hospital.

Cop clearly doesn't care that he is killing someone for no reason.

That’s what PD is saying. He clearly dies in the video.

Dr needs to determine death, not just looking at someone; plus people flat line and come back so whether he died in the street or died in the hospital that cop murdered him!!!

Not only did he murder him, he slowly tortured him to death for 10 minutes.

Most cops are pretty stupid. Military folks too. It gets lost in all the ‘hero’ worship.

I really hope that evil murderer is tried, convicted and gets his due in prison. Someone should do to him what he did to this man. He murdered a man in broad daylight using his privilege of wearing a uniform.

Most cops are decent. I actually think very few are terrible, in the sense that they would not abuse people like that.

But I also get the sense that many of those good cops will protect the bad ones, as evidenced by the cop holding back the crowd and refusing to say anything to the guy kneeing on the suspect. After all, it might look weak to agree with the bystanders.

Would like to hear from police, current or former. directly.

My H is a former cop. Just retired.

Most cops are racist.

There are few really good, educated, moral, upstanding cops. Even among them, they are biased.

The good ones are outnumbered by a huge margin.

Almost none will testify against another cop.

THIS. So much idolatry and hero worship of these thugs in our society. Its sad. There are certainly brave and heroic and decent cops and military folks, but the blind worship of the institutions gives so many of them a pass.

Who worships cops? Genuinely curious. As an educated professional I think the vast majority are meatheads.. I think this is a very common sentiment.
