At my job when we're working through a sale/merger, you can't talk about that stuff with anyone until it's done. Why do you care? Are you FCV? If not, then why do you even care.? And, the latte comment is lost on me. Why do you care? If you're not at FCV and don't want to be, then why does it matter to you. The parents who are there will decide what's best for them if changes start to become problematic. Do you really think the parents should just demand their money back and run from DA teams that are performing well together because you think that maybe there might be some changes eventually? Who said anything about people leaving or asking for their money back? Nobody is generally that knee jerk and they will see how things go. That said, it is a pretty bad look to drop that bombshell after folks had signed on though.

Exactly, why would people care if a new possible practice location is 30 miles away from the one originally thought to be?

Possible, maybe, could be. But it isn't. Still at Evergreen. My question, is why would anyone OUTSIDE the club who doesn't want to be there even care where FCV holds training?

You honestly believe that such a location change does not matter to parents?

I think IF that were to happen it would matter to people WITHIN or considering the club. Otherwise, why do YOU care? Are you in the club or considering it? If not, then I don't get how you're so invested.

Yes it does differ. They don't train you. Your DD will do some rondos, passing drills then a scrimmage. This is recruiting club not a training club.

Right, having a UEFA A licensed coach and one of 15 coaches in the country that have complete the directors course doesn't develop anything...only recruit.

I'm certainly happy I don't have to deal with you folks on the sideline.

If you were a critical thinker, you'd think through it to discover why playing other top clubs from across the country is beneficial for a young player, even the B team.

Best of luck playing in the local leagues called travel - AKA: Pay to play so parents and kids can claim they play 'travel'.

That a B team has to travel farther than the DA team travels just to play other clubs B team is a little suspect.

The DA team has traveled to Atl, NYC, Denver and San Diego in a month.

Again, it is a different level, a different drive in each and every player.

It is a B team. And presuming hte real important years for the DPL players, and based on the add in Potomac Soccer wire the needs are at FCV's 06/05 B teams. Both teams are currently in 7th and 9th place in VPL repetitively.

I'm sure driving down to Georgia to play Tophat's B team is just what those two bored and competitive teams need to get better.

Lots of clubs travel on the backs of parents marketing it as an international trip or 'beach soccer in CA' trip (although i have not heard of the CA thing).

They get teams to book travel to Barcelona, London, whatever for 'training'. The coaches fly free b/c of all the teams that go, or subsidized at a minimum and get training and certifications. The players get training by their very own coaches who are getting certified.

Beware of the clubs and intl trips...easy to find and get 'invited' to.

Good experience, but training is no different than normal club training.

At my job when we're working through a sale/merger, you can't talk about that stuff with anyone until it's done. Why do you care? Are you FCV? If not, then why do you even care.? The parents who are there will decide what's best for them if changes start to become problematic. Yes it does differ. They don't train you. Your DD will do some rondos, passing drills then a scrimmage. This is recruiting club not a training club.

That does not mean you know how many people in the COUNTRY have the license. Many of us know of UEFA licenses, not a shock but it usually ends with knowing the level your particular coach has. Nobody goes so deep as to know how many people have the same license. BS.
