Senate Democrats sending secret letter about Kavanaugh to FBI

Anonymous
What are the odds Kavanaugh leaked this as a smoke screen so folks don’t keep looking into his dice-shooting?

Not only do you think it’s okay to spread rumors that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted someone in high school but now you want to spread rumors that it’s standard behavior for boys at like Landon and Prep to sexually assault girls. Good grief, you are sick. And no, I’m not associated with either of those schools in any way. And I’m a moderate registered Democrat who feels like she’s lost her party.

It’s not rumors, it is allaegations. Perhaps you should actually read the article.

“Allegations” made by some anonymous person who curiously has come out of the woodwork after 30 years. And it doesn’t even sound like she is alleging something illegal. A boy tried to kiss me in high school!!!

Locking her in a room, turning up the music so people outside can’t hear her protests, forcing her onto a bed and cover her mouth with his hands, isn’t trying to kiss her.

Sounds like an ambiguous situation, at worst.

What is wrong with you?

Not the PP, but what is wrong with YOU? This is her account of a supposed incident that occurred 30 years ago. His account is that nothing of the sort ever happened. How on earth do you automatically believe her over him - with no proof, no evidence, no corroborating witnesses - NOTHING? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

That's what an investigation is for. Except that your side is convinced that there shouldn't be an investigation. Which once again sure makes you pathetic traitors look like you have something to hide.

A moderate would wait until the investigation is finished, when everything can be known and weighed into account, and not have an immediate knee jerk reaction one way or the other. So, not buying your self depiction. You sound disengenuous.

I think it's been so long that you have had a conversation with a moderate who may legitimately disagree with you that you can no longer recognize one. Or more likely you just think no one can legitimately disagree with you.

You thought wrong. And I think you're a liar spreading propaganda.

You just proved PP's point.
-Not the PP

No, I didn't. But you proved mine. Your own posts make it obvious that neither you nor the PP are "moderate", no matter how many times you desparately claim you are in am effort to influence public opinion.

https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/a-sexual-misconduct-allegation-against-the-supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh-stirs-tension-among-democrats-in-congress

The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result.

How is it sexual? He tossed some girl on a bed? Ok? Did he try to take her panties off? No? Did he whip his unit out of his pants? No? Did he say “I am preparing to rape you, ma’am!” No? So what are we basing this on? Some sloppy wrestling session at a drunken teenage party?

It's such a puzzle why women are abandoning the Republican party. I have such a hard time figuring it out.

DP. It's such a puzzle that you keep claiming women are abandoning the Republican party. Independent woman here. The more liberal craziness I read, the closer I'm drifting to joining the Republican party. Curious, isn't it?

Same poster - I don't know about you but as a woman I would like to have this investigated before this man is given the power to determine what happens with my body.

Absolutely agree, and if Kavanaugh did nothing wrong, he should want to investigate to clear his name,

Sure - but investigate what, exactly? The woman making the allegation wants to remain anonymous and doesn't want to be interviewed. Kind of hard to investigate nothing.

If he ever decides to run for public office, oh boy.....trouble!

No. You tried to rape a girl. Right? You know you did. Now we're going to investigate you.

Anonymous wrote:I’m not a Kavanaugh supporter and I’d hoped that he would not be confirmed. But this 11th hour character assassination reeks of desperation and only underscores why there are statutes of limitations in many states, if not Maryland, for sexual asssult. All we have here are unproven, anonymous allegations, made against a controversial nominee whom any number of left-wing partisans have made clear they will try to defeat at any cost and by any means at their disposal. Where was this accuser when Kavanaugh was appointed or nominated to other positions years ago?

It makes me sick that Democratic politicians have sunk to this level. I actually have more respect for Kavanaugh than I do for politicians of either party at this point. This country has become a total embarrassment.

+ a billion
It's reassuring to know there are still sane people out there.

In Maryland, there is no Statue of Limitations, and if found guilty, there is mandatory jail time.

EXACTLY. Seems the best way to assassinate someone's character is to accuse them of rape - evidence be damned.
