I prefer to think of Anita Hill as the godmother of the movement. Let’s not give men more power and a bigger place in history than they deserve.

PP you are quoting. Good point and well taken.

Two officials familiar with the matter say the incident detailed in the Feinstein letter involved possible sexual misconduct between Judge Kavanaugh and a woman when they were both in high school.

He said, she said.
Pitiful and desperate.

Cute. The GOP doesn’t care about #metoo. Please see Donald Trump and Roy Moore. They just double-down.

So you are ok with a potential rapist on the Supreme Court?

There is potential traitor in WH who nominated a potential rapist to SC. GOP is fine as long as the truth does not come out sooner.

So, you are ok with convicting without knowing not only the allegation, but without any evidence?

Haven’t heard anybody say anything about convicting. We just want the information.

Totally agree.....

Daily Beast says Eshoo received letter after K was nominated and passed it on to Feinstein. https://www.thedailybeast.com/dianne-feinstein-to-refer-cryptic-kavanaugh-document-to-department-of-justice … Time frame is vague, but suggests Feinstein has had it for many weeks. But never showed to K, never asked him about it in closed session. 1/

Feinstein's handling of the letter strongly suggests that she doesn't view it as relevant and/or credible. But, hey, what's the big deal about inciting some last-minute character-assassination speculation? 2/

Where’s there one victim, there are bound to be more.

And for those who say this is a desperate distraction? No, this is how it should be done. Feinstein received credible information about Kavanaugh committing sexual assault in high school and she brought it forward to the appropriate authorities. That”s not desperatatiom. That’s doing what they ought to do.

You are already calling him a “potential rapist.” That is pretty inflammatory right there.

I will wait to see what this is all about, but color me skeptical that it is anything of merit.

Sure, we know how much you like proof, facts, innocent until proven, law and order. We know!

Yeah, tell it to Al Franken. The GOP wasn't so fond of letting due process go forward for him.

Actually, I was a conservative who believes Franken was given a raw deal. And, it wasn’t so much the GOP who called for his resignation. You can thank Gillibrand and other Dems for that. I don’t agree with Franken on pretty much anything. But, I believe he was forced to resign over a really stupid incident.

If there were something so damning, I would think that one of Kavanaugh's students at Harvard Law would have filed a complaint years ago. Or, a law clerk, Or someone he has worked with in the last 30 years.

Should be interesting to see what this is about. And, if this anonymous person fails to come forward, it will be difficult to prove or disprove anything. But, I think that was the intent.

I don't know what is being alleged. But it takes a long time for these accusations to come forward and to go anywhere. Look at Kozinski - this sh*t went on for decades, allegedly, before becoming talked about in public and leading to any consequences. It was talked about in private but not public. Powerful men are well protected.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/judge-who-quit-over-harassment-allegations-reemerges-dismaying-those-who-accused-him/2018/07/23/750a02f2-89db-11e8-a345-a1bf7847b375_story.html?utm_term=.7095877014c6

And actually I hadn't realized that Kavanaugh was one of Kozinski's clerks, and the two were friends.
