+1. In this case it's entirely appropriate |
I think there's a few things he inserted. Shannan saying he'd never see the kids during the fight, then he strangles her. Don't believe she said that, along with some other things he claimed about her. It makes him more sympathetic if the wife is painted as a B. When he made that stupid comment about how he shouldn't be defined by one single act I knew he told some lies about Shannan.
What I do believe. He wishes he never met Nicole, ignored her advances, stayed out in the field at work, and wished Shanann didn't leave for 5 weeks. He said they had a good marriage up until the affair. Very typical of men who cheat. And he was feeling pressure from Nicole who would throw a tantrum when he needed to be back home. |
Yes, I agree pull the switch. I'd like to see Kessinger do some time for her role, and all the lying afterwards. Did you notice he seems to like the new prison he's at, and will likely get a job? That was pretty disturbing. Seems to be one happy camper. |
Wow. Just wow. You talk about these people like you know them and seem personally way too invested in this. Are you associated with the case in some way? Because if not, lady, you need some help. |
Oh come one. Like many she's very interested in true crimes, and this is a interesting case for many reasons. I found myself following it quite closely. I have a relative that lives close to there, no one saw this coming. |
DP - same here. This is one those cases that will be famous for decades. Like the Petersons. |
In his description of what he did to Shanann - it sounds like a psychotic break.
The kids though - there's no excuse. That was just clean-up, plain and simple. By the way, the audio from his jailhouse interview in February 2019 is live. |
Am I the only one who is truly shaken by these types of stories? Affairs are nothing new, but to kill your whole family due to an infatuation means that this can and does happen more frequently than one thinks . These are also men who no one would have suspected. I was so upset by this, it was hard to sleep. And no, I am not worried by my own DH, just in general. |
I think this happens super-frequently but people like to put their heads in the sand like ostriches. And really...up until the late 80s and cameras (video recorders) becoming prevalent in regular households, a lot of men got away with things that they aren't getting away with now. I seriously think the number of serial killers in the 60s and 70s is just untold. Even now we just caught the Golden State Killer, a 'normal' family man who had two kids, wife, and a regular life for decades while also serving in the police force. https://www.thecut.com/2018/04/michelle-mcnamara-and-the-golden-state-killers-arrest.html |
She went after him at a time he was having these issues. This is why the other cheater is equally despicable. I'm amazed on some of these threads when the cheaters brag about what they're doing. Bragging about being a low-life? It's a big destruction, even when it doesn't lead to murder. |
I think some of the murder-suicide spousal killings are people in similar relationships. Once partner wants out, breaks mentally, and after killing the spouse, decides to commit suicide. This guy didn't kill himself. |
I think a lot of people are fascinated w/this case because it goes beyond what we as humans think we are capable of.
Chris, is a handsome/loving/engaged Father as well as husband. He works hard to provide for his family while also playing often w/his two adorable young daughters who are just so adorable + precious. Shan’nan, an attractive/ambitious/outgoing & loving Mother who dedicated her entire life to her family. Vivacious and down-to-earth, she looks like she would be a great friend to have. Smiling family pictures paint a rosy, happy family. ALL American Dream..... |
Your language is flowery and over the top and makes me think that you have issues. This is a middle class white family. That is not "America" to an awful lot of people in America. It's funny how people on this site will go on and on about how if you post your perfect family life all over social media, you are almost certainly doing it to conceal the negative aspects of the family. Yet you don't seem to focus on those things at all. It was clearly not a rosy, happy family. |
Then Chris meets a new woman who is younger & apparently more his equal (according to him).
She represents the complete opposite of what his life has become. Freedom, no family responsibilities, fun, etc. Then BOOM.... He wants to leave his current life behind & start all over again. Fresh start in life. But he has four lives that need to be out of the way first. And this is where no one can relate. Annilahtion of an entire family is unthinkable. Most, if not ALL people would likely abandon before killing. The new audio tapes show Chris sounding very remorseful. He quotes the Bible and states that he now has a relationship w/God that he never thought possible. He says if he could take it all back he wishes that he could. He regrets many of his behaviors. He says his initial lack of emotion response was how he was raised by his family. He says he has no explanation for WHY he killed his family. Like it wasn’t under his control. He now cries when he speaks of Bella + CeCe. He even acknowledges that he would have a one-month old baby boy named Niko. He also says that “Nikki” knew from the get-go that he was married w/young kids. I always believed she did. It was very suspicious how when Shan’nan went missing, she automatically erased everything off her cell. Then goes to the police station and acts all innocent. Like Chris lied to her. And she is in a sense, a victim as well. Yet she is Googling if the police can trace her texts plus how much $$ Amber Frye made w/her book, etc. Even though Chris sounded remorseful, outgoing & like a regular likeable fellow w/a sense of humor plus an intelligent brain, I still will always despise what he did to his family. Watching videos of Bella + Celeste has me in tears, yet I keep going back because I love seeing their adorable smiles again. |
middle class white family is the most common family in America. |
